Majority of Dems Support Impeachment of Kristi Noem

As the left continues to try to rewrite the narrative regarding ICE operations in Minneapolis and throughout the nation, a delusional Robin Kelly, Democratic Congresswoman from Illinois, formally introduced articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s “reign of terror.”

“She needs to be held accountable for her actions,” Kelly said as she announced the three articles of impeachment – obstruction of Congress, Violation of Public Trust and Self-Dealing – against Noem.

“Secretary Noem, you have violated your oath of office, and there will be consequences. I am watching you. Members of Congress are watching you. The American people, most importantly, are watching you,” Kelly told reporters. “And most of all, we are not liking what we’re seeing. If you believe impeachment is silly, then you are not taking your job or our Constitution seriously.”

Over 70 House Democrats signed on to co-sponsor the articles of impeachment, Kelly confirmed.

DHS responded to the wingnut articles of impeachment by calling them “silly” during a serious time, claiming Kelly is more focused on “showmanship and fundraising clicks than actually cleaning up her crime-ridden Chicago district.”

Protests broke out across the country after 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good was fatally shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in Minneapolis. Noem called Good’s reaction “an act of domestic terrorism” and said ICE agents were carrying out lawful enforcement operations.

The Trump administration called the officer’s actions “self-defense” and ruled that an investigation is not needed.

“From Chicago to Charlotte to Los Angeles to Minneapolis, Secretary Noem is violating the Constitution while ruining—and ending—lives, and separating families,” Rep. Kelly said in a statement last week. “It’s one thing to be incompetent and dangerous, but it’s impeachable to break the rule of law. I told my constituents and Chicagoans that I would fight against Secretary Noem’s agenda. This is me fighting back.”

Rep. Nydia Velazquez, D-N.Y., claimed during the news conference that Homeland Security “has been turned into a weapon of political revenge” and thinks it is above the law.

“I have represented the people of New York for over 30 years. I have seen a lot of presidents, but I have never seen an administration use federal agencies to explicitly punish cities just because they didn’t vote for them,” Velazquez said.

Rep. Adriano Espaillat said 32 people died in DHS custody in 2025 and four people so far in 2026 while calling the administration a “Trump dictatorship.”

DHS has stood by the agent’s conduct and labeled Good a “domestic terrorist.”

“Today, ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them—an act of domestic terrorism,” DHS wrote on X. “An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots. He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers.”

President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and other members of the administration have made statements backing the ICE officer involved in the shooting.
