ICE Does Not Arrest Kids … and the media lies
The latest ICE story has the media, political pundits and politicians on MS NOW accusing ICE of taking a 5-year-old child, Liam Conejo Ramos, into custody and taking him to a detention camp in Texas. It is a heartbreaking story – snatching a child off the street. Terrorizing him, the family and the entire human race. (Okay! That is an exaggeration — but no more than the MS NOW spin.)
The target of ICE enforcement was the father of the child, Adrian Conejo Arias. He was apprehended with the child outside the family home after a brief chase.
If you flipped over to CNN, you would get a remarkably different version of the story – a more accurate version. This is how the action really went down.
Yes, ICE approached the father, who was with his son. They took the father into custody as an illegal alien. Whether past criminal activities were involved has not been indicated in the initial reports – although Conejo Arias was breaking the law at the time by resisting arrest.
Following Conejo Arias’ capture, agents then took the child to his home and knocked on the door. They asked the mother to open the door so the child could enter. She refused repeatedly.
(I have to digress. What sort of mother would refuse to take in her own child? She preferred to leave her child in the cold and in a chaotic, uncertain and potentially dangerous situation outside her door. I know. What kind of mother does that? I am sorry, but as a parent, that behavior strikes me as callous disregard for the young child. But that is a different story.)
After several failed attempts, the father asked that the child be brought with him. The child was not arrested or officially detained. He was placed in protective custody until the matter could be resolved. The father and the child were then brought to a detention center in Texas designed for families – with cafeteria, classrooms and play areas. ICE has such centers because families because children are occasionally picked up with parents or alone. It is the same procedure when police arrest adult criminals with children. They cannot just leave a young child on the street – or home alone.

While the left-wing media pounds a largely mendacious narrative about the child, it has ignored the years of horrible abuse inflicted on tens of thousands of children by President Biden’s policies – including beatings, rapes, murders and abandonment. The Trump administration is still attempting to reunite thousand of children allowed to flow into the country under Biden’s wide open borders policies –many used as currency by gangs and drug runners.)
MS NOW provided none of the relevant details of the arrest, but rather created a phony sanitized d politically motivated narrative – propaganda.
MS NOW also claimed that the father was in the country legally – seeking asylum. That was not true. The reports may have conflated the case of a 5-year-old in Minnesota, whose father was applying for asylum. The Chicago father have been the United States illegally for more than 20 years.
The reporting on MS NOW is not a matter of sloppy journalism. The network has been — and continues to be – a hardcore mendacious propaganda outfit for Democrats and the radical left. They – and others on the left — provide selective out-of-context information and spin it beyond recognition. MS NOW is not an outlier. It is how MS NOW and many of the left-wing media operate. It is willful disinformation.
There is a reason so few people trust the news media – especially the left, according to polls and ratings. The Washingyon Post’s motto “Democracy Dies in the Dark” should read “Democracy Dies on the Left.”

A distinction without a difference that’s so easy to overlook when you treat people as less than deserving under the protections of our Bill of Rights. The long-winded rationalization of detention of minors, detention of families, using kids as bait, seems to totally overlook that the detained are legal asylum seekers following our laws that Larry has abandoned in his quest to deport the brown people. Hey, Larry, they are all over Florida —- why not start there? Not blue enough? No one on your enemies list down there?
Oh no, Larry has turned to the Dark Side and is listening to CNN saying: “If you flipped over to CNN, you would get a remarkably different version of the story – a more accurate version. Oh wait, it’s OK, he blames the mother for not opening the door so the young lad would have no parents free in the world anymore. Yeah, it’s her fault…. She’s pregnant, has a teenager too, and Larry wonders why she does not want to risk being not arrested, but detained in another State? She’s legal too, just like her legal husband, and legal kid, they are hauling away. Yeah Larry, what the hell is she thinking? What sheltered world does this old white man live in? Does he not see the clips?
Nope, it’s the father who asked for the kid come with him to detention where as Larry says: “the child was not arrested or officially detained. He was placed in protective custody.” Yeah, explain that distinction as if you were talking to this five-year old.

Ah, the ole, hey, Trump is nowhere as cruel as Biden. Don’t believe your eyes. Matter of fact, he blames Biden for the parents/kids Trump lost, Biden could not find in four years, and now Trump is the hero for still not finding the ones he lost? Strange re-write of history or Trump boot licker. Both.
Let me sum: the father has no criminal convictions and has been living, working, paying taxes, raising a family here for 20 years. Now he and his son, born in America are in detention, but it’s OK because the son is not arrested? This is the worst of the worst? Or is he just another brown person lucky to not have a tat? The LAW the father was arrested for was a misdemeanor previously holding a $250 fine. And now his kid is not detained, but in detention.
“There is a reason so few people trust the news media” as he highlights CNN for agreeing with him on this one being the hypocrite that he is. He just wants you to doubt your own eyes.

The preschooler, Liam Conejo Ramos, was removed from the family’s running car, said Zena Stenvik, superintendent of the school district in Columbia Heights, a Minneapolis suburb. The boy and his family are originally from Ecuador and presented themselves to border officers in Texas in December 2024 to apply for asylum, the family’s lawyer, Marc Prokosch, said during a press conference Thursday evening. “These are not illegal aliens,” Prokosch said. “They came properly. They came legally and are pursuing a legal pathway.” OK, so legal guy taken from MN to TX detention center with son is not arresting kids? And you wanted Mom to open the door to join them as ICE used the kid as bait? Have you ever in your incredibly long life walked a few feet in the other guy’s shoes?
CNN continues: ““Another adult living in the home was outside and begged the agents to let them take care of the small child, but was refused,” Stenvik said at a news conference Wednesday. An agent “led him to the door and directed him to knock on the door, asking to be let in, in order to see if anyone else was home — essentially using a 5-year-old as bait,” Stenvik said. “ICE did not, and has never, ‘used a child as bait.’ The child was ABANDONED,” the agency posted on X Thursday.” Yeah, bait, and blame the detained and baited parents for abandonment. But —- they were not indicted or arrested for that. Ooops.
CNN’s real assessment that Larry does not want you to see: “The two were eventually taken into custody together.” Sure sounds like detained to this observer.

Frank, read the 14th amendment, which makes clear who a citizen is, and defines that our rights are as citizens, and are NOT applicable to foreigners, of ANY type. We do NOT owe ‘due process’ to these people, period. And many of those deported were already under deportation orders, and violated them. I don’t care how long they worked here, if they are illegal, out they go. They ARE a burden on our systems, whether you believe that or not.

Everyone in the US has rights Big A. Even the undocumented. You just want to treat them like cattle. Undocumented immigrants are guaranteed due process by the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution. You are as wrong as Trump on that.
Big A, yes, the 14th specifies certain citizenship attributes such as naturalized and birthright, which Trump disagrees with fyi. Did you understand that naturalization is not a description but a process of which many laws, rules and regulations come into play?
For asylum naturalization, the 14th guarantees them a legal hearing which Trump is ignoring in many cases violating the Bill of Rights and Constitution.
In the US, asylum seekers are protected by the 1951 UN Refugee Convention, the 1967 Protocol, and U.S. law via the Refugee Act of 1980. These together guarantee the right to seek protection from persecution based on race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or social group. Key legal frameworks include the Immigration and Nationality Act, which prohibits returning individuals to harm, and the Convention Against Torture. Trump violates all.
I, and most Democrats have no issue with deporting criminals including those under deportation. Only an idiot would believe that’s what’s happening here. The promise is to exterminate 20M brown persons from America, of which about 650K are criminals, some of that is low level crimes. They add to our systems, they are not the burden you imagine.

FYI: big a, Obama deported 2.8M, with over 1.4M having criminality. Trump is shooting for 650K criminals but is well under 300K at this point. This was never about criminals, it’s about deporting 20M brown people.
Do you even have a clue how broke we will be if you complete your mission? What do you think the tariffs you fork out for and being used for? They go right into the general fund just like income taxes.
Get a grip on the big picture and realize Trump needs you to hate to avoid focus on the price of eggs. Then he tariff taxes all your purchase to finance the people making tacos, doing your nails and lawns, who used to pay taxes too, but now don’t work, don’t pay taxes, just sit in detention centers until with can get a really expensive plane to stop them from producing stuff we need and used to live our lives. It just does not makes sense. There has got to be a better way. The math of this just does not work to leave us with a profit over all this. I can’t believe you really think ridding us of the brown people will make you safer, richer, or better off. Do you mow lawns for money?
