Democrats war on (half) the American people may be backfiring

In her 2016 losing campaign to Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton referred to half of Trump voters as a “basket of deplorables.”  That outlandish statement was appropriately greeted with a major pushback and harsh criticism.   BUT her opinion has been the core of Democrat strategy ever since.

While GOP campaigns largely focus on issues and the Democratic Party hierarchy as instruments of policy, the Democrats have set their sights on the main street and country-road Republic voters. John and Jane Q. Citizen, as it were.

The demonizing of half the American electorate is divided into two basic attack themes.  Trump voters are either evil or stupid – or both.  They (we) are a basket full of insurrectionists who are – with malice of forethought – attempting to bring down the American Republic by force – by coup.

Clinton did not just call millions of Americans “a basket of deplorables,” she got very specific in her mendacious mischaracterization.   “They are racists, sexists, homophonic, genophobic**, xenophobic, Islamophobic … you name it.”

(**genophobic?  While that is what Clinton said, most reports – and even closed captions – omit that reference – assumedly as a favor to Clinton.  That is because in her rant and rage, she had no idea what she was talking about. Genophobia is fear of … I am already laughing … fear of sexual intercourse. Not something she ever accused her husband of. Maybe she mispronounced and meant genuphobia … fear of one’s knees or kneeling.  OR … gynophobia … fear of women.  What every she meant, it was a basket full of bullsh*t.  But I digress.)

Democrats describe Trump voters as dupes and cultists willing to do Trump’s bidding with mindless obedience.  At times you would think they are critiquing a zombie movie – and in some cases, they actually refer to Trump supporters as being zombie-like.  That is when they are not referring to them as fascists or Nazis.

In the Democrat’s kindest descriptions, Trump supporters are gullible low information voters.  We are incapable of making an intelligent decision.

We also cannot understand what we experience today when we go to the grocery store or pay our bills.  We are doing great economically they tell us, but we are just too stupid to know it.  How we “feel” is just wrong.

Those who say they are worse off under Biden are beyond ignorant.  We suffer from what they have dubbed “Trump amnesia.”  In other words, we cannot determine what we experienced in the past.  We only THINK the country, you and me, were better off under Trump.

Understandably, we are starting to see some pushback against this demonization of millions of wonderful Americans.

So, there ‘tis.
