Trump’s actions in LA are neither unprecedented nor illegal 

&NewLine;<p>There they go again&excl;&excl;&excl;&nbsp&semi; Democrats are in another round of tonsorial arson&period;&nbsp&semi; This time it has to do with President Trump taking over the California National Guard to address the anti-government riots in Los Angeles – and his later decision to send in the Marines&period;&nbsp&semi; He is doing what any governor would do in similar circumstances – except Gavin Newsom&comma; of course&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>In their zeal to demonize Trump at every turn&comma; Democrats and their media cronies are rewriting history and misinforming the public on a grand scale&period;&nbsp&semi; They report as if Trump’s actions are unconstitutional and unprecedented – acts of an authoritarian&comma; they say&period;&nbsp&semi; Not so&period;&nbsp&semi; Within my lifetime&comma; six presidents – four Democrats and two Republicans – have used similar measures to quell unrest and restore law and order – and&nbsp&semi; some for more dubious reasons&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>In 1924&comma; President <strong>Franklin Roosevelt<&sol;strong> issued Executive Order 9066 to provide a legal rationale for <strong>using the United States military<&sol;strong> to round up Japanese American citizens and relocate them to concentration camps&period;&nbsp&semi; In a dark moment&comma; the FDR-controlled Supreme Court upheld that clearly unconstitutional action&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>In anticipation of a national railway workers&&num;8217&semi; strike – and potential violence &&num;8211&semi; in 1950&comma; <strong>President Truman<&sol;strong> <strong>deployed the Army<&sol;strong> to seize and run the railroads&comma; citing national security concerns&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p><strong>President Eisenhower<&sol;strong> <strong>Federalized the Arkansas National Guard AND sent the Air Force’s 101<sup>st<&sol;sup> Airborne Division to Little Rock&comma; Arkansas<&sol;strong>&comma; to restore order and enforce the law&comma; while Democrats in the south and elsewhere raised a ruckus&period;  It was done over he objection of the Governor&period;  There was no national pushback against the actions&period;  No media propaganda in support of the rioters&period;  No question of authority or constitutionality&period;  No biased media disinformation campaign&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>In 1962&comma; <strong>President Kennedy<&sol;strong> <strong>sent U&period;S&period; Marshals and federal troops to Mississippi<&sol;strong> to protect James Meredith’s enrollment in the University of Mississippi against protestors and rioters&period;&nbsp&semi; In 1963&comma; Kennedy<strong> federalized the Alabama National Guard<&sol;strong> to control protests and rioting against Blacks entering the University of Alabama&period; The only voiced opposition was from southern Democrat leaders&comma; including the governors of the two states&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p><strong>President Johnson<&sol;strong> invoked the <strong>Insurrection Act<&sol;strong> <strong>to send<&sol;strong> <strong>federal troops to Detroit<&sol;strong>&comma; Michigan&comma; during the 1967 riots&comma; one of the most violent civil disturbances in U&period;S&period; history&period; He also <strong>deployed federal troops to Washington&comma; D&period;C<&sol;strong>&period; in 1968 to quell riots in the aftermath of the assassination of Martin Luther King&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p><strong>President H&period; W&period; Bush<&sol;strong> used the <strong>Insurrection Act to send federal troops to Los Angeles<&sol;strong> during the Rodney King riots in 1992&period;  When rioting continued&comma; Bush then <strong>sent in both Marine and Army units<&sol;strong>&period;  Republican Governor Pete Wilson thanked Bush the support&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>So much for the pulp fiction propaganda being spewed by Democrats and the left-wing media&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Trump is taking action for the same reasons most his predecessors took action – to enforce the rule-of-law and protect law abiding American citizens from violence and harm&period;&nbsp&semi; And as was the case in the past&comma; powerful leaders of the Democratic Party stand in opposition and defiance to Trump &&num;8212&semi; and the rule-of-law&period;&nbsp&semi; Democrats are standing with the illegal aliens and those illegally rioting on their behalf&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>So&comma; there &OpenCurlyQuote;tis&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
