A Trump third term? LMAO
We are not even past the first 100 days of President Trump’s second term and the left-wing politicians and media have their hair ablaze about a hypothetical Trump third term.
The left-wing political/media class often counsels itself to not give Trump excessive coverage. They call upon themselves to focus on the BIG issues and not be distracted by every controversial statement.
But … they cannot help themselves. They have stepped into the LaBrea Tar Pit of obsessive resistance to anything Trump — and cannot extract themselves. That is obvious in their overreactions to Trump suggesting that there may be a constitutional path or two to a third term. The left-wing media echo chamber has spent hundreds of hours and reams of print to respond to the fantastical third term narrative.
Already the evergreen resistance movement is gearing up for a fight over an all but impossible third time. Trump threw some chum in the water and the liberal sharks are in a feeding frenzy.
The debate as to whether there is a theoretical means by which a two-term President can achieve a third term would be interesting as an academic debate as part of a constitutional law course. For all practical purposes, however, it is meaningless academic calisthenics. It is the equivalent of arguing how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
This is a short commentary because the subject is not worth a lot of attention. It just makes me laugh to see all those overcharged left-wingers make such fools of themselves – or, more accurately, allowing Trump to make fools of them.
So. there ‘tis.
Larry, while I tend to agree that a trump third term is highly unlikely-it is not for the reasons that you write about in your tome above. Even his dumbest supporters (you are definitely part of this group) are going to realize that they have been had by the shyster who now sits behind the resolute desk. Despite trump promising a ‘chicken in every pot’ like one of his predecessors, the US will soon realize that the economy is not improving. We only need look at your beloved state of Florida, where legislators have brought a bill forward to allow children as young as 14 to gain employment-on the overnight shift. Why? Because migrants are too afraid to show up to work for fear of being deported or have already been shipped out. This is even before the tariff debacle becomes front and center-the idiots ‘rationale’ for his tariffs is completely nonsensical-one second he says they will bring in trillions of dollars, the next he talks about bringing factories home. Those two ‘features’ of his tariffs require the opposite outcome, but I’m sure most have trouble making that connection. Of course, the dems that you love to blame for your lack of success are concerned about another troubling aspect of our present government-elected R’s are too busy licking ass to tell trump that what he is doing is illegal, and few at this time have confidence in the Supreme Court to make a ruling strictly based on law and precedent, rather they will likely base their decision on which way the political wind is blowing, I use their Presidential immunity ruling as an example here. So, it is not really ‘mind blowing’ that elected democrat officials are ‘wasting their time worrying about this’, instead it is a sign of the times where people have lost faith in having a responsible government…

Off hand, I think he said he is not joking. To me, using my Trumpian Dictionary, or “how I learned to lie most of the time,” that means he is at minimum going to investigate a number of avenues.
I don’t know Larry; when do we listen and when do we ignore. He not only wants it, he has already identified a number of methods to get it done.
I guess the sheeples, like Larry in THIS CASE, choose to believe “I don’t want to talk about a third term now because no matter how you look at it, we’ve got a long time to go.”
Trump first talked about tariffs in the 90’s although not sure he knew the definition since he still has it wrong today: they are a tax on consumer’s Don. Did Larry believe him? Does he believe this? How’s that working out?
Trump first talked about illegal aliens in the 80’s, got caught hiring them in the 90’s and again after 2000, and 2010. Did Larry believe him? Does he believe in the policy that disappears innocents to a El Salvadorian gulag to die?
Trump says from the left side of his face, I believe in meritocracy, while the right side of his face screams: “you’re fired” to anyone – good workers, exemplary workers, or others, that’s not nailed down by law not to be fired.
I’ll bet Larry still believes Trump believes in meritocracy.
I am sorry, Larry, the man has a history of floating some wild ass balloons and then implementing ever worse programs, policies, and illegal actions against the Constitution.
BUSTED: he means it, he will check his odds, he will check the polls, and if it looks viable, he will go for it. As sure as Washington did not.
They probably planned his answer weeks ago, waiting for some idiot liberal to ask the question. And of course they did, right at the very beginning of his term and now they are ranting about it as just like he thought they would, and losing credibility every day.

Trump said there are methods to do this which points to alternatives beyond a Constitutional amendment unless you are saying he’s lying.
There have been two market crashes since 2017; both are on Trump’s watch. The market is down about 20% since Trump; I am down around 5% and making money every day.
