2024: The Year of the Man

2024: The Year of the Man

My October 20 commentary was headed “Why GOP is gaining male voters … and it may be the winning vote.”  I concluded that article with “It may be that this under-reported unappreciated underground masculinity movement will have its effect in the 2024 election.  Stay tuned.” (End of “I told you so.”)

Even though it was a long time in the making, it was inevitable.  The male population has coalesced into a political force.  It crosses all demographics – White, Black, Hispanic Asian and Arab.  It played a significant role in the surprisingly strong vote for President Trump.

As was another election cycle dubbed “The Year of the Woman”, 2024 can fairly be called “The Year of the Man.”  The gender gap can no longer be associated only with the voting disparity among women.  With the past myopic focus on women, the growing gender gap among men went relatively unnoticed.

Trump made unprecedented gains among minority male voters.  He won a clear majority of White men.  Trump produced the strongest Republican showing among Hispanic and Black voters since the mid-1900s – and most of that was attributed to the votes of Hispanic and Black men.

In 2020, Trump received 12 percent of Black males.  This year he doubled it to 24 percent.  In 2020, he got 38 percent of Latino men.  This year he received 46 percent.

If the 2024 presidential election is a realignment, as many observers suggest, it will be male voters – especially minority male voters – who will be leading the way.

It should not have come as a surprise to Democrat strategists and politicians – although it did.  Male voters trending to the GOP has been occurring over several years. Because Democrats did not see it coming, they maintained their woman-oriented focus.

Democrats have ignored men and made women’s issues the ONLY gender focus in their platform.  They cast males as the villains of women’s rights, desires and well-being.  They saw men as misogynists, chauvinist pigs – traits attributable to genetic predestination.   The radical feminist influences of the Democratic Party summed it up with the political pejorative, “toxic male.”

It is important to understand that the woman-centric political strategy was part of the progressive cultural elitism that characterizes the bicoastal Democratic Party.  Ironically, in the aftermath of the huge Trump/GOP victory, many leading Democrats are pointing to elitism as the underlying cause of the Party’s defeat.  To the future detriment of the Party, however, most Democrat analysts blame the loss on male sexism and racism –again making men the villains.

In deflecting blame from the real issue, Democrats are often cannibalizing their own.  America’s most prominent race-baiter, Al Sharpton, argues that many Black men are anti-woman.  A left-wing Hispanic journalist appearing on MSNBC said the same about Latino men.

If we look at the male vote in terms of youth – the under-30 crowd – Democrats won them by 15 points in 2020, but the GOP carried them by 13 points in 2024, a 28-point swing.

The focus on women and women’s issues to the exclusion of male interests has been so lopsided in political dialogue and policy that on the Democrat’s own website the list of the people they claim to serve – women, gays, transgenders, etc. – does not include men.

Despite having a woman at the head of the ticket … the focus on women’s issues …. and the attacks on Trump as a misogynist … Democrats LOST ground with women.  They carried the women’s vote in 2020 by 32 points.  That dropped to 18 points in 2024.

Strangely, in the aftermath of the election, the progressive elite are falling back on the same old “bad male” strategy to explain their defeat.

Jill Filipovic, a Brooklyn-based writer — who has spent her life in the radical left ecosystem (born and raised in Seattle and degrees from New York University) writes on her X account, “So much of this election was gutting, but at the top of my list is the reminder that many Americans see women as disposable.” I think it is more arguable that for generations, it is men who have been treated as disposable – and not as a mere circumstance but as a good thing.

Filipovic also penned an opinion piece for the New York Times.   She attributes Harris’ loss to Trump to courting, “‘barstool conservative men who might not be particularly religious or anti-abortion but seem to enjoy Mr. Trump’s sexism and vulgarity.”  (There she goes again …. alluding to the imaginary brutish toxic males.)

Speaking of abortion … the disregard for the male is also evident.  Though the developing human being is the creation of a woman AND a man, the new life is considered the exclusive property of the woman – with the male partner having no rights or respected interests over the future of his offspring.  (That is until it comes to providing financial support for those developing human beings who make it to birth.  Suddenly the man matters. But I digress.)

It appears that the macho American man has had enough of the progressive gender mythology – enough of being viewed as some sort of political caveman that is a blight on society and a threat to womanhood.

New York University professor Scott Galloway described the coalescing of the male vote around Trump and the GOP as the “testosterone effect” – and that it was the response of the “aspirational male” to the “toxic male”.

The male influence on the 2024 election has already found its way into the culture. Saturday Night Live introduced the “hot jacked Trump”—a muscle bound gym rat Trump (pictured above).

Since it appears that those who have propagated the “toxic male” theology are neither enlightened nor cowed by the election results, the realignment will prevail to the detriment of the Democratic Party.

It is beyond comprehension as to why Democrats and the radical feminists are so surprised to have gotten political pushback from a demographic group that they have been disregarding, at best, or demonizing, at worst, for decades.  After all … male lives matter.

So, there ‘tis.

Postscript: It has often been said that we men should get in touch with our feminine side.  I tried that.  The result was that every time I thought about sex, I got a headache.

“Postscript: It has often been said that we men should get in touch with our feminine side. I tried that. The result was that every time I thought about sex, I got a headache.”

    And that exemplifies the problem.

In my family, you would have your ass handed to you. Our women don’t take shit like that.

Lawrence walks into a bar with Ivanka, Ivana and two more blonde whores on his arm. Orders a round for the house, everyone cheers. Bartender lines em up, pours, and suddenly a ten inch man jumps out of Larry’s pocket, runs down the bar, and kicks over all the glasses yelling like Trump all the way.

Bartender asks, what’s up? Larry says: well, I caught a genie and for my three wishes asked for the love of beautiful women, money (check the car outside), and, unfortunately my last wish was to replace my 4-inch prick.

Frank Danger walks into Larry’s Bar and tells Larry the bartender how about we bet $1,000 that I can piss into a glass twenty feet down the bar. Lawrence takes the bet gleefully and Frank unzips and begins pissing everywhere but the glass. A drenched Larry is gleefully laughing at his success. Frank pays up, Larry says “stupid obsessive idiot bet,” and Frank replies: “I bet $4,000 with that guy outside that I could piss all over you and make you laugh about it.”

    ta dum bump.

Moral of the story. Never kid a kidder.

Frank Danger … Just like a woke anal retentive lefty … no sense of humor. You last is an old joke, but you tell it badly. The other two make no
sense at all. Humor is not your strength. Nor is political punditry.

FD, your $1000 bet joke was funny. It employs ironic humor and actually shows how smart financial planning can benefit a person. It also shows that what you see isn’t always what you get. In the case of this joke, the Larry sees a stupid bet and fast money from what he thought was an idiot but did not see that the Frank was going to increase his wealth four fold by pissing on the Larry.

The 10″ man joke was interesting from a size relationship point of view. A ten inch man with a 4 inch prick: Lets do a quick analysis. 1) This would mean the man’s prick is 40% of the length of his entire height. Amazing!!! He must be the envy of all 10 inch men and the desire of all 10 inch women. 2) Lets consider the location aspects of this joke. The prick is located approximately 44.4% above the floor in the average male. Now with a 4 inch prick, this means the man could be walking along with the head of his prick dragging on the ground where he might also step on it, or it could be just above the ground where he is constantly kicking it with his foot. Either way, this would explain why the Lawrence in this joke is always instantly aggravated by your posts. 3) Lastly, the 10 inch man in this joke may have a 4 inch prick but I might note that when the 10 inch man is aroused by taking the rights of women away, or deporting undocumented workers, or the mere thought of misogyny within his grasp, that prick grows from 4 to 10 inches and becomes the whole man!! Just one big prick! And this explains your Lawrence!!!

The only thing left to explain is why Larry changed his picture again from the scraggly bearded older male to the clean shaven younger male. Could this be a subconscious form of Trump worship? We all know Trump hates beards.

Tom… you are back. I thought maybe you had left for Canada. Frank will be happy to see his ass kissing balcony buddy is back — and so am I. Without you, who will stand for the opinions of the pompous and the arrogant. Who would take up your silly self-serving rating system. After all a Waldorf without a Statler is just a salad with one less nut?

Frank, she probably means Nancy Reagan or Nancy Pelosi depending on her personality that day. I only know what I see on the news that Nancy Reagan died and Nancy Pelosi is alive and presumably well in California.

Nancy Pelosi>12/27/22>executed at 10:07 EST at Gitmo. Yeah, you see Nancy. A Nancy> There are so many clones, paid actors, CGI and roboids out there so people like you are gaslighted that believe only what they want to believe without the proof or research or investigations. What a damned shame!

Horist: you are wrong, I am quite the funny guy, and these are two old, not three, jokes. Of course, the one about the little prick would go right past you. Thought you might resonate to the pugnacious bigger price though. Too close to home perhaps :>)

And no, I am not a pundit, good, bad or otherwise. Thanks for the shout out though.

However, you are indeed funnier than I; just look at your comment picture :>) Joe not have enough money to upgrade you to your bio photo, which may I say, you took my advice to update, aka Horistemingway from the Florida keys.

Too bad you exhibit the unmensch side of yourself so often. Oh my, the name calling. Do you think it does anything except help you vent your overburdened spleen? Larry’s bile reduction act perhaps? Guess you’re not going to tell us how to better experience the Stone Crab Claws again this year. About to make my annual order, the Florida Cracker reigns supreme, family is coming, time to spend some of that Trump-makes-the-market money. I like Biden’s policies, but make more money with Trump. No, not from his silly economy, but from maneuvering around his shenanigans. Last time, I dumped it all just before the Trump crash, and then picked up more with the Biden inflation interest spike, Biden was a bit lower return, but a lot less risk, none actually whereas Trump-time does have a lot of risk due to total lack of stability.

    Gotta scoot, market is open.

Good luck unknotting your knickers. You seem such an angry man.

Frank Danger … Nothing more pathetic than a hypocritical old geezer who thinks he is witty. The only thing laugh provoking is your sophomoric banal nastiness. Always so personal … always petty … and so obsessed with the Larry Horist of your imagination — you know, that humorless angry pugnacious prick you like to shadow box with. And there you go bragging about your money AGAIN. It seems you tie your self worth to the cash on hand. I am not surprised since that seems to be all you have worth bragging about .. I hope you do well in the market so your ego can survive and give you false sense of relevancy.

Not to do something different, but the topic of the article is correct in that NO one
changed the minds of the voters in the groups you are commenting on!
These groups just paid attention a little more to this election than prior elections
    and realized the FACTS!
Kamala blew it every chance she had to make an impact!
This is no surprise as EVERYTHING Biden did was against his very core.
He preached against the things he implemented 20 years ago but sold out his values
to become president. Kamala did the same!
There is definitely a puppet master in the Democratic party, and this (?) these people
are absolutely clueless about psychology in every aspect!
This was the case of just telling the truth and you could become president!
    Trump did. And is!
No one is against a female becoming president, just run a female that actually has qualifications
    and she may have one.
People pushing the woke agenda have their OWN agenda and it is a personal agenda.
People will do ANYTHING for their children, even changing the world need be to make their
    child fit in!
I understand being a parent, but it is possible to give a right without taking one away.
Someone needed to tell the Democratic puppet masters that!

Frank, those were both very old jokes.
They were funny 40 years ago when I heard them.

This article gets a Stop The Spin (STS) rating of STS 2. The details are accurate, but again, only one side of the story. In fairness, the other side of the story is only emerging now and I am confident Larry will say the article was submitted several days ago.

Yes Larry, Trump should be congratulated on his win and on running a rather phony campaign. Nobody is better at showmanship and “acting” as Trump! And congrats to all who follow him and voted for him. You got your wish! Now lets see how it plays out.

But it was not a landslide like some say, as Trump only won by less than 2% of the vote. I suppose we can say it was because men came out more and voted for Trump – but it is also true that women did not come out as much to vote, and those that did come out, a greater share voted for Trump. A report I saw seemed to indicated that up to 15 % or so less women showed up for this vote than 2020. This seems to indicate that women did not like either choice. As an Independent, I remember 2016 and how I did not see myself anywhere in the Clinton campaign. They painted me as the problem. So I voted for Trump. Within 2 years of Trump, I had buyer’s remorse and also felt the system screwed us by not really having any good choices. So 2020 I voted against Trump, not that I liked Biden that much but it was a break from who Trump was and his chaos that always follows him. I felt the worst thing this U.S. Veteran could do is stay home. I needed to feel some calm. I am hedging a historically based bet on needing to feel calm again by 2026.

As an Independent, it will be interesting to see the instant buyer’s remorse experienced by some of those demographic groups you mentioned in the coming weeks. Here is what we already know:

    1) There are many white non MAGA Trump voter posts indicating displeasure with several of his pics, particularly Matt Gaetz, (sex trafficker) and the guy Trump picked to head the DoD, honorable veteran with no experience. Many of these voters thought Trump was going to pick qualified persons to run these offices honestly and with integrity. They are now saying that they have been fooled!

    2) Many of these same voting demographics did not check out Project 2025 before voting and are now horrified that Trump is actually following what that document says to do. They believed him that Project 2025 was not his plan. This was a lie! LOL And we Independents told them so!

    3) Many Latino voters that voted for Trump in Miami and other FL areas, and other high Latino population centers around the country, are horrified because they did not think Trump was serious about deporting undocumented (illegal) persons – and they are scared stiff that some of their family members and good friends may get rounded up and deported. And they are very scared of that fellow Tom Homan that Trump picked to be “border czar” and super scared of Steve Miller who will determine policy. They see the hate in Miller’s eyes and the hate in his voice when he speaks.

    4) Trump non MAGA and some MAGA white voters are concerned about Christy Noem because they do not think she has any qualifications to be running the Department of Homeland Security. It is being pointed out that the Dept. of Homeland Security employs more people than she governs in her entire state, and thus she does not know how to handle such a large scale wide spanning position.

    5) MAGA folks are very pissed off at their pick for Senate Leader did not get voted in. They do not like Thune and are venting their displeasure. They wanted the FL guy Rick Scott. Scott got the least votes and was eliminated in the first voting round.

    6) Independents like me are simply shaking our heads that Trump is paying back his group of criminals, Project 2025 people, and unqualified strong supporters with positions that they are not qualified to work. We shake our heads that he is attempting to circumvent the Senate confirmation process which we all know is because his candidate selections most likely will not pass muster. We denounce pardons for the 1/6 leaders of the insurrection. And we are noting that the last three power transition processes, two of those processes went smooth because Dems seem to care more about peaceful transitions, whereas the Trump power transition process was full of violence.

This Independent feels that this will be a very short lived victory, lasting only till 2026 when the displeased voters this time will show up at the polls next time, and, will be a two years full of promises that Trump cannot keep because he does not have the constitutional permission to keep such promises, he will actually damage the great economy he inherited, many court cases as Dems sue him for over reach in a number of areas, and Latinos and Black men come out to vote against him for his racist policies. I think the next two years will be chaos, and it has already started with Trumps selections aforementioned.

So enjoy the day and the next two years Larry. The clouds are already forming…

    And there ’tis.

Tom … you are still peddling that “we independents” crap. Did you fail to notice that Trump got a majority of the independent vote? You are in the minority old pal. Most independents voted with me….lol You failed to see the Trump victory coming and now you are predicting the future again??? LMAO But welcome back. I miss the tag team. In the case of you and Frank 1+1=0, but still amusing.
