
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Pro-freedom conservatives and their anti-freedom antagonists have all their eyes on Trump’s nominations for heads of key federal agencies. One of his most contentious picks is Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whom he has tapped for the office of the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). Advocates of medical freedom have cheered at his nomination while the pro-mandate crowds, mainly made of left-wing voices, have raised a commotion of worries.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Since RFK Jr. has raised awareness about the health risks associated with vaccines and other mainstream medical/pharmaceutical treatments, his nomination to head the health agencies working under the HHS has deeply shaken the pharma advocates in D.C. and media. The power of the vaccine industry over legacy media can be seen in the anxious assessments of legacy media as to how RFK Jr. may get in the way of the congressional-pharma complex.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>The Hill</em>, a popular leftist and anti-conservative news source, recently published a piece titled “What RFK Jr. could — and couldn’t — do with vaccines as HHS chief” that looked at the various possible ways RFK Jr. could hurt the congressional-vaccine business run with the taxpayer money. While repeating the old scripted lines of vaccine safety and effectiveness, which have been widely challenged by independent researchers and analysts including RFK Jr. himself, the story cited pro-vaccine sources to raise concerns that RFK Jr.’s appointment as the Health Secretary in the incoming administration can seriously hinder the status quo for vaccination programs.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The people advocating medical freedom and informed choice on vaccination, however, are thrilled with the appointment of RFK Jr. to oversee American public health at the federal level. Well-known cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough, who became a champion of awareness against COVID-19 vaccination risks during the so-called pandemic, was asked on One America News for his reaction to Kennedy’s nomination. Dr. McCullough called it “probably Trump’s most courageous nomination” and added that under his leadership, a team of clinical and scientific experts will make America healthy again – a conservative slogan dubbed as MAHA.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On November 15, the pro-freedom health organization Stand for Health Freedom posted a statement of support to endorse RFK Jr. for the Secretary of HHS. Among the points supporting the nomination, the organization wrote in the statement:</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>His willingness to scrutinize scientific consensus on topics such as vaccines, fluoride, raw milk, offshore wind, glyphosate, electromagnetic radiation, food additives, and more reflects a steadfast commitment to informed consent that Americans deserve.</em></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Children’s Health Defense, a non-profit chaired by RFK Jr., has been raising awareness about the health risks of vaccinations and other pharmaceutical/medical treatments for many years. It has also reported extensively on the abuses of the medical research programs at the expense of public health safety, particularly the risks posed to the health and safety of minors. Vaccine advocates and their media alliances have labeled the organization as a platform for anti-vaccine disinformation. In 2021, <em>Vanity Fair</em> ran a hit piece on RFK Jr., calling him “the Anti-vaxxer Icon of America’s Nightmares.”</p>
