Who Colluded with the Russians? Apparently the Democrats!

According to public records, the Democrats commissioned and accepted a report from former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele (pictured at left).

The report contains several unverified charges against members of the Trump campaign, including coordinating Russia’s hacking of DNC computers. As we wrote in a previous article, the report is noticeably fake.

The report was first published in January by BuzzFeed. At the time, the site’s editor said he doubted it was true.

Steele himself admitted that many of the charges in his report were unverified. Even so, the document has been used by the media to spread fake news and by House Democrats during hearings. It’s even being used in the FBI’s Russia investigation.

In the document, Steele clearly states that the accusations against Trump are from Moscow – which means that Democrats have been repeating Russian propaganda for public consumption in Washington. In other words, the same Democrats who are accusing Russia of destroying Hillary Clinton’s campaign are quoting Kremlin sources to attack Trump.

Steele received payment for the report from Fusion GPS, a Democrat-funded research firm with ties to Hillary Clinton.

“If anyone colluded with the Russians, it was the Democrats,” said a former Trump campaign adviser. “After all, they’ve routinely shopped around false claims from the debunked Steele dossier, which listed sources including senior Kremlin officials. If anyone should be investigated in Washington, it ought to be Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, Mark Warner, and their staffers.”

One of the report’s main targets was Carter Page, a former Merrill Lynch employee who lived and worked in Moscow for a time. He has loose ties to the Trump campaign.

The accusations against Page surfaced during the presidential campaign as a Yahoo News story that failed to cite the dossier as a source. Just minutes after that story was published, the Hillary Clinton campaign “put out an equally false press release,” says Mr. Page, who believes Clinton’s team had access to the report and relied on it for public statements and interviews.

Author’s Note: This is radical change of perspective. There is public evidence of substantial, indirect collusion between the Dems and Russian disinformation.

The Dems commissioned and accepted Steele’s report. Either they thought it was real and were working with the Russians or they were spreading false information they knew was false. They can’t have it both ways. I’m still convinced most if not all of the report was fake.

Editor’s note:  If the mainstream media had any sense of balance, this would have been the narrative all along. The word “collusion” certainly fits here. The only variable is whether Steele made up the report from scratch, without working with the Russians, or if he actually received some information from them. Either way, the Democrats are dirty as hell.
