White House Officials Resign Over Capitol Siege

White House officials are resigning en masse after Trump supporters swarmed into the US Capitol on Wednesday.

“I called Mike Pompeo last night to let him know I was resigning from that,” said Mick Mulvaney, Trump’s former Chief of Staff who most recently served as special envoy to Northern Ireland. “I can’t do it. I can’t stay…Those who choose to stay, and I have talked with some of them, are choosing to stay because they’re worried the president might put someone worse in.”

Officials to resign include:

President Trump made no public comment on the walk-outs, as he is permanently banned from Twitter and suspended from Facebook.

“I was honored to serve in the Trump Administration and proud of the policies we enacted. As someone who worked in the halls of Congress, I was deeply disturbed by what I saw today. I’ll be stepping down from my role, effective immediately,” said Matthews. “Our nation needs a peaceful transfer of power.”

DeVos was less polite, blaming Trump’s “rhetoric” for “the mess caused by violent protestors overrunning the US Capitol in an attempt to undermine the people’s business” (though she did urge lawmakers to reject policies supported by Joe Biden in her farewell letter).

Trump reportedly banned Marc Short, Chief of Staff to Vice President Mike Pence, from the White House for advising Pence not to take action to overturn the election results during Wednesday’s vote-count.

Trump is said to have spoken with Pence early Wednesday morning, urging him to “be courageous” when lawmakers met to ratify Joe Biden’s victory. Trump then addressed his supporters at the “Stop the Steal” rally that escalated into a full-blown attack.

“This morning I would have told you the Republican Party is in shambles because of Donald Trump. Now the entire country is,” a senior White House adviser said.

Even longtime Trump ally Chris Christie, former Governor of New Jersey, is blaming Trump for what happened on Wednesday: “The president caused this protest to occur…He is the only one who can make it stop.”

Author’s Note: Trump did everything he could to reverse the outcome of the election, just like he promised. This is the difference between a businessman and a politician. A businessman does whatever it takes. A politician jumps ship.

Editor’s Note: The people resigning in “protest” are disloyal lightweights who do not understand the concept of America. How can you not support protests of an election in the face of clear fraud and vote manipulation?
