Since Wednesday (January 3) a trove of newly unsealed court documents have been released to the public, revealing names of many famous people, including holders of high public offices, business tycoons, and celebrities who were associated with Jeffrey Epstein in one way or another. Some critics now wonder whether these documents serve as distraction from more serious scandals.

The unsealed documents come from Virginia Giuffre’s 2015 defamation lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s girlfriend and partner in his sex trafficking business. Giuffre accused Britain’s Prince Andrew of having sex with her when she was 17 and sued the royal figure. In 2022, Prince Andrew settled the sexual abuse lawsuit with Giuffre for an undisclosed sum of money. And as Giuffre’s defamation lawsuit with Maxwell was settled in 2017, the records were sealed.

In 2020, some of these documents were unsealed, showing former president Bill Clinton’s name as prominent among those associated with Epstein. President Trump’s name appears in passing and according to flight records for Epstein’s private plane, Trump flew only once on it and never visited Epstein’s Island in the U.S. Virgin Islands where Epstein trafficked and sexually abused victims, mainly minor girls. Bill Clinton, on the other hand, reportedly visited Epstein Island many times. One Epstein trafficking victim Johanna Sjoberg is on record in the newly released documents telling that she heard from Epstein that Bill Clinton “likes them young.”

Regardless of the appearance of the names in the newly unsealed documents, the question of their impact and relevance remains open. Some critics and commentators are calling it a distraction or even cover-up of something deeper within the government.

Conservative commentator Mike Cernovich, who has been trying to get the Epstein documents unsealed since 2017, joined Jesse Kelly to discuss the importance of the unsealed documents. Cernovich contends that this release of court records is part of an ongoing cover-up in which America’s intelligence agencies have played a key role.

Cernovich was cited in a story in Russia Today (January 4) about the role of the FBI in the Epstein issue as:

“We do know that the FBI has Jeffrey Epstein’s blackmail files…very powerful forces have made sure we will never see it.”

A video clip of former Mossad agent Ari Ben-Menashe telling that Epstein was connected to the Israeli intelligence agency through his girlfriend and trafficking partner Ghislaine Maxwell, the daughter of Robert Maxwell who was linked to Mossad as well as British and Soviet intelligence.

Relating Epstein’s suspicious death in a federal prison in New York in 2019, Tucker Carlson interviewed Jeffrey Epstein’s brother Mark Epstein. Mark, who chose not to be shown on video, is heard saying in the interview that he does not believe that his brother committed suicide in the prison, implying that he was killed.

Tim Burchett, Republican congressman from Tennessee, told Newsmax a day before the release of the Epstein documents that he does not expect Epstein’s full client list to be revealed and that the cover-up will continue.

Last month, Republican senator from Tennessee Marsha Blackburn requested a subpoena for Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs. But Democrat senator Dick Durbin, who is the majority whip in Senate, blocked her request. On Thursday (January 4), Blackburn called out Democrats for protecting Epstein’s clients. She posted on Twitter/X:
