Washington State Wants Kindergartners to Learn about Homosexuality

<p>For me&comma; kindergarten was a time to learn things like how to spell my last name&comma; how to tie my shoes&comma; and how to draw out cursive letters&period; I made friends during recess and learned not to talk back to my teacher&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>I certainly did not learn about gender theory&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>But that&&num;8217&semi;s just what a new and&nbsp&semi;disturbing set of guidelines for Washington state schools proposes&period; Classroom topics include&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&bull&semi; Kindergarten&colon; understand there are many ways to express gender<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&bull&semi; 2st grade&colon; understand there is a range of gender roles and expression<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&bull&semi; 4th grade&colon; define sexual orientation&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&bull&semi; 5th grade&colon; identify methods of transmission and prevention of HIV&semi; identify how friends and family can influence ideas regarding gender roles&comma; identify&comma; and expression&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&ldquo&semi;The state guidelines&comma; which will go into effect in the 2017-2018 school year&comma; have kindergarteners learning that there are different ways people express gender&period; By fourth grade&comma; they would learn to define sexual orientation&period; By the time they graduate&comma; they would be able to evaluate how culture&comma; media&comma; and society influence gender roles&period;&rdquo&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Many&nbsp&semi;parents are shocked by these new guidelines&period;&nbsp&semi;&ldquo&semi;As a parent&comma; this makes me feel uncomfortable because of the fact that children&rsquo&semi;s minds are impressionable&comma; they are trying to figure out their own identify and shouldn&rsquo&semi;t be pressured to adopt a view that society forces on them&period; Why are we not equipping teachers to identify&comma; support&comma; and encourage those who are struggling&quest; Being male is not bad&comma; being female is not bad&comma; we should be equipping teachers not brainwashing generations of children&comma;&rdquo&semi; says Vashti Makupson&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;punchingbagpost&period;com&sol;pediatricians-transgender-conditioning-of-children-is-child-abuse&sol;" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" rel&equals;"noopener"><strong>As we wrote in March<&sol;strong><&sol;a>&comma; forcing children to learn about such controversial topics at an early age is nothing more than institutionalized child abuse&period; &ldquo&semi;Conditioning children into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse&comma;&rdquo&semi; argues the American College of Pediatricians&period; &nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Being gay&comma; bisexual&comma; or transgender is not &ldquo&semi;trendy&period;&&num;8221&semi; These feelings are psychological problems associated with&nbsp&semi;behaviors that directly violate the religions to which many of these innocent children belong&period;&nbsp&semi;These sort of feelings&nbsp&semi;should be dealt with by families and doctors in private&comma; not forced on children before they reach puberty&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Editor&&num;8217&semi;s note&colon;<&sol;strong> This is blatant political correctness and an attempt at engineering society toward the liberal point of view&period; Why are we teaching ANY kind of sex to children that young who have not achieved puberty and have no possible understanding of it&period; &nbsp&semi;This is state supported child abuse&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
