Washington State Wants Kindergartners to Learn about Homosexuality

For me, kindergarten was a time to learn things like how to spell my last name, how to tie my shoes, and how to draw out cursive letters. I made friends during recess and learned not to talk back to my teacher.

I certainly did not learn about gender theory.

But that’s just what a new and disturbing set of guidelines for Washington state schools proposes. Classroom topics include:

• Kindergarten: understand there are many ways to express gender

• 2st grade: understand there is a range of gender roles and expression

• 4th grade: define sexual orientation

• 5th grade: identify methods of transmission and prevention of HIV; identify how friends and family can influence ideas regarding gender roles, identify, and expression

“The state guidelines, which will go into effect in the 2017-2018 school year, have kindergarteners learning that there are different ways people express gender. By fourth grade, they would learn to define sexual orientation. By the time they graduate, they would be able to evaluate how culture, media, and society influence gender roles.”

Many parents are shocked by these new guidelines. “As a parent, this makes me feel uncomfortable because of the fact that children’s minds are impressionable, they are trying to figure out their own identify and shouldn’t be pressured to adopt a view that society forces on them. Why are we not equipping teachers to identify, support, and encourage those who are struggling? Being male is not bad, being female is not bad, we should be equipping teachers not brainwashing generations of children,” says Vashti Makupson.

As we wrote in March, forcing children to learn about such controversial topics at an early age is nothing more than institutionalized child abuse. “Conditioning children into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse,” argues the American College of Pediatricians.

Being gay, bisexual, or transgender is not “trendy.” These feelings are psychological problems associated with behaviors that directly violate the religions to which many of these innocent children belong. These sort of feelings should be dealt with by families and doctors in private, not forced on children before they reach puberty.

Editor’s note: This is blatant political correctness and an attempt at engineering society toward the liberal point of view. Why are we teaching ANY kind of sex to children that young who have not achieved puberty and have no possible understanding of it.  This is state supported child abuse.
