<p>J. Edgar Hoover was the director of the FBI from 1935 to 1972. According to Wikipedia:  ;</p>
<p>&#8220;Hoover became a controversial figure as evidence of his secretive abuses of power began to surface. He was found to have exceeded the jurisdiction of the FBI, and to have used the FBI to harass political dissenters and activists, to amass secret files on political leaders, and to collect evidence using illegal methods.&#8221;</p>
<p>Recently fired FBI Director James Comey seems to have been in a position where both sides of the political fence are afraid of him. And he seemed to like it.</p>
<p>Keep in mind Comey was appointed by the Obama administration. The expectation that Comey could remain impartial in the face of partisan political pressure was shattered when he announced he would not pursue criminal charges against Hillary Clinton.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s be real for a second. The case of Russia collusion is fake. ;</p>
<p>We have said this <a href="https://punchingbagpost.com/dem-senator-there-is-no-evidence-of-a-trump-russia-connection/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>many times</strong></a>. It originated from the Clinton campaign about a year ago to distract from Hillary&#8217;s illegal use of a private email server and the DNC&#8217;s cheating Bernie Sanders in favor of Hillary Clinton. The Democrats and the liberal media have carried this through, sans evidence, sometimes <a href="https://punchingbagpost.com/dem-senator-there-is-no-evidence-of-a-trump-russia-connection/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>manufacturing evidence</strong></a>, to continue to hammer Trump. It propagand, not reality.</p>
<p>So these charges have been out there for a year. And it has been on the FBI&#8217;s plate for a year. According to media reports, Comey was asking for more resources as recently as a few weeks ago.</p>
<p><em><strong>Perhaps the FBI has not been taking this investigation seriously for the last year and is just now getting going. Does that sound right?</strong></em></p>
<p>Or perhaps, FBI Director Comey was stretching out this investigation because he likes the limelight. If you scan the Washington Post and the New York Times this &#8220;investigation&#8221; has been covered almost every day since well before the election. Even with the lack of evidence in this fabricated story, liberals delight in talking about it and spreading it to anyone will listen. ;</p>
<p>We have all been waiting for Comey to come up with a conclusion. The Democrats anticipating a scandal the Republicans anticipating finally moving one. In other words, all focus was on Comey.</p>
<p>But no conclusion has come, perhaps for the simplest of reasons: <em><strong>If he concluded the investigation, the focus would be off of him</strong></em>.</p>
<p>The stage was set for Comey to drag out investigations against the Trump Administration for years to come. ;</p>
<p>This had to stop, Trump pulled the trigger, its done.</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-</p>
<p>One final note. When politicians suggest a &#8220;special prosecutor&#8221; for anything, this is almost never a bid to &#8220;reveal the truth.&#8221; ;</p>
<p>It is a political maneuver. ;</p>
<p>It is a bid to start a propaganda campaign to damage the subject of the investigation over a period of months. The accusation is the the conviction. In people&#8217;s minds, the subject has been accused hundreds of times, and if found innocent, the message only goes out a few times. In the minds of the public, the negative messages overwhelm the positive messages.</p>
<p>Sometimes the subject deserves this kind of bludgeoning, but if the subject is innocent, the damage will still be done. ;</p>
<p>I&#8217;m not always opposed to special investigators. Sometimes, as in the Hillary Clinton email case, when the fix is in, a political maneuver is necessary, and a <a href="https://punchingbagpost.com/appoint-a-special-prosecutor-now-attorney-general-lynch-wont-prosecute-hillary/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>special prosecutor is warranted</strong></a>.</p>
