Civil servants raised alarms, but whistleblowers reported retaliation and suppression by the Walz administration. Instead of acting decisively, Walz’s team buried the issue, ensuring it did not explode during the 2024 presidential campaign – in which Walz running for Vice President.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>The Whistleblower Cover-Up</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The scandal was not just about stolen money. ; It was also about silenced voices – the cover-up. DHS employees who tried to expose the fraud were ignored or punished.  ;According to reports, Harris was privately warned of the brewing scandal and advised to pass over Walz.  ; ;He most obvious choice was Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, but his being Jewish was a problem with antisemitism running hot in the Democratic Party.</p>
