Victory! Trump, House and Senate

In a historic victory, Donald Trump has been re-elected President of the United States, winning both the Electoral College and the popular vote. In addition, Republicans now have a majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

At the time of this writing, Trump’s tally of Electoral College votes is 277 with several states left uncalled, exceeding the 270 needed to win. His total, given the current statistics, is likely to be over 315 by the end of the count.

The final tallies for Congress are also not yet known. The Senate has at least 52 Republicans (51 is a majority), and several races could swing their way, some are projecting as high as 56.

In the House of Representatives, Republicans previously had 220 seats, a slim margin given that 218 is the majority. At the time of this writing, the Democrats have flipped 2 seats and the Republicans flipped 4 for a net gain of two. Since many of the remaining seats are in California, Oregon and Washington, and are for Democrat incumbents, it is unlikely that Democrats can flip a sufficient number of the remaining Republican incumbents to gain a majority. Of the races called, the totals are 160 Democrats and 186 Republicans.

Well before the race was called, Harris sent her campaign manager to tell her crowd to go home, that she would address them tomorrow.

The end of the incompetent, corrupt Biden Admin. Thank goodness we did not elect Kamala, the stupidist candidate since Dan Quayle, who would have been under the control of the most evil President we have ever had, whose actions caused a deepest divide in America, and who worked toward the destruction of the American family.

Now we watch the right eviscerate the American Dream, much like they did when Hoover won in 1928. Deja vu! I expect that Trump and company will try and slash the deficit by coming down HARD on the very people who voted him back into power. They are very much going to regret this election. Trade war, anyone? Think Smoot-Hawley.

Where can a fascist president cut expenditures? Not defense. Not the wealthy. So it has to be the middle class and below. They have no power, but in the aggregate they have enough funds to enable Trump to eliminate them from the picture.

You thought inflation was BAD under Biden? Just wait until food and other essentials TRIPLE in price under Trump.

This is going to be an explosive Fourth Turning event like no other before it.

Boo hoo. You’re welcome to leave. Venezuela is probably nice this time of year. Or Cuba. Just saying. And take Tom and danger Frank with you.

Funny how inflation was not bad until Biden past his massive spending bills.

And you don’t appear to have any idea what “fascist” actually means.

Inflation is a lagging event. So the $8 trillion Trump pumped into the economy did not hit our pocketbooks until 18 months later, when Biden was president. Had Trump actually won in 2020 he would have experienced the same inflation. It was baked in because of his policies when he was president, during his first term.

Now we get to watch him dismantle the US economy, starting with mass deportation, followed by tariff increases. Thing about tariffs is they take effect immediately, no 18 month waiting period.

This is Trump and the far right to a T!!

Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/ FASH-iz-əm) is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology and movement, characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy

I think you found your definition of fascism from the Daily Kos. In fact you could use the the same definition for socialism or communism, and some use the same for our brand of democracy. It is not, in fact, correct.

Andrew, maybe that’s what you want. Maybe that’s what the evil Democrats want. We do not want that! That is NOT what Trump is going to do either. How could you think anyone could be that cruel? Are you out of your mind? I will tell you what I have told others here. PROVE it, coward! I hate to break it to you, but your girlfriend, Kamaliar is going to Gitmo. Breaking news out today. Jag and White Hats tracking her. She committed many treasons and other crimes. Her days are done. I really hate to see that happen, though. It’s so sad there are evil people out there that want to destroy everything and everyone – all for power and money. It is all documented. All of it.

Andrew, does any light ever shine in on the Rock you live under?
Do you even watch any news besides CNN?
Bush, Biden, Clinton, and almost Kamala are all the same Crap.
Why do you think Bush joined the Kamala team!
Trump will Govern, the others Rule.
Rulers feel the rules do not apply to them.
The scary part is how many fools still voted for someone they did not ask for
to be President and who told them nothing but things will remain the same crap!
    simply Amazing!
It should have 80% Trump to 20% the fool!
I have to go to work now.
I have a large fuel bill to pay!

I watch FoxNews every night at 6 PM. Plus, I subscribe to several right wing newsletters. I get plenty of folklore from the right about how they think the world works. Being a full time self employed businessman, I have a very hard experience about how it really works.

What is fascinating about the right is how they think they KNOW what people are like without ever bothering to ask. Like you just did.
