US Space Force is Too Embarrassed to Actively Investigate UFOs!

The anxiously awaited report to Congress from the Pentagon on what it knows about UFOs has been completed. And while the report revealed that the Department of Defense overall has been taking UFOs more seriously than the public once thought, the branch of the military tasked with protecting the US from threats from space – the US Space Force, says that investigating UFOs is really not part of its mission.

The US Space Force was formed under the Trump administration to protect the national security of the United States from some very real threats from space – however possible alien invasion is not one of them. Rather the mission of Space Force is to protect our space assets – satellites and such – from attack by our enemies and to also thwart space-based cyber-attacks, espionage, and other threats posed by the space assets of our enemies such as Russia and China. To that end, the upper brass of Space Force says, while it may seem a natural that investigating UFOs falls under their purview, doing so will cast doubt on the seriousness of its “real” mission.

According to reports, the internal hesitance to study reports of “unidentified aerial phenomena,” when even NASA says it’s now researching them, is a sign both of the taboo surrounding the topic — and of the Trump-era Space Force’s deep-seated fear of being a laughingstock compared to more established parts of the military-industrial complex.

Still, some at Space Force argue that it’d make “perfect sense” to study the phenomena, as one unnamed former intelligence official told Politico.

“There is no limit to the Space Force mission,” the Politico source said. “It doesn’t have a geographic boundary like the other services.”

But Space Force has already struggled with its reputation, becoming the butt of many jokes and even the subject of an entire Netflix TV comedy series of the same name.

Becoming more tied to the subject of UFOs could make it even more difficult to maintain an air of authority, according to the former official.

“They want people to take them seriously,” the source told Politico. “They don’t want to do anything that is embarrassing. But this is national security. This is their job.”

Many of the discussions by the Pentagon’s Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, which was set up last year to study sightings made by pilots over the last two decades, are still behind closed doors.

Whether the Space Force will play a more significant role in investigating the sightings is anybody’s guess — but it sounds like the branch’s leaders will think twice before committing to a more substantial role.

What is the US government still not telling us about what they know about UFOs and our military’s encounters with them? Please reply using the comments below!
