As the longtime host of one of Fox News&#8217; highest rated programs and later the host of a widely followed independent podcast, Carlson helped shape Republican messaging and influence millions of conservative voters. Now, in a stunning political shift, Carlson says he is leaving the Republican Party and will not support it in the upcoming midterm elections, a move that has triggered both support and skepticism across the conservative movement.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>A Conservative Voice Changes Course</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Carlson built his reputation over more than three decades as a defender of conservative causes and Republican candidates. Even after leaving Fox News in 2023, he maintained a large audience through his podcast and online platform, allowing him to remain one of the country&#8217;s most influential conservative commentators.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">His latest comments represent one of the most dramatic breaks of his career.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Speaking on the &#8220;Can&#8217;t Be Censored&#8221; podcast, Carlson declared, &#8220;I would not support the Republican Party. There&#8217;s no chance I would support the Republican Party.&#8221;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He immediately clarified that he was not switching sides politically.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&#8220;Not going to support the Democratic Party. I don&#8217;t know what I&#8217;m going to do.&#8221;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Carlson also emphasized that his decision was not made lightly after decades of supporting Republicans.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&#8220;I voted Republican my entire life,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I&#8217;ve been a consistent defender for 35 years of the Republican Party, but there&#8217;s no defending this&#8230; So, no, I&#8217;m out.&#8221;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He also questioned how Americans could continue supporting a party that, in his view, no longer serves its own voters.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&#8220;How could I or any American voter support a political party that&#8217;s not loyal to the United States, that puts the interest of a foreign country above those of its own citizens?&#8221; he asked.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>No Support for Either Party</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Although Carlson&#8217;s announcement has generated headlines, he made clear that he is not becoming a Democrat.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Instead, he says he currently sees no political home.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&#8220;I don&#8217;t know what I&#8217;m going to do,&#8221; he said.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Posting on X, Greene wrote, &#8220;Tucker is not the only one who is done supporting the Republican Party.&#8221;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She continued, &#8220;There is A LOT of us that are absolutely fed up and will not support a party that betrays its voters and country.&#8221;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Greene stressed that abandoning the Republican Party does not mean embracing Democrats.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&#8220;That does not mean we are turning into Democrats either.&#8221;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Instead, she argued that she and others are rejecting what she described as the &#8220;America LAST Republican Party.&#8221;</p>
