Trump’s Pick for Surgeon General Sparks Conservative Outcry

In another example of bad picks for a key federal position in his team, President Trump picked a doctor who acted as the mouthpiece of the medical-pharma establishment and advocated tyrannical measures against freedom of choice as well as freedom of speech. Trump’s nomination of Dr. Janette Nesheiwat to be the next Surgeon General of the United States has met with fierce opposition and disappointment of the conservative base.

On Friday (November 22), President Trump nominated Dr. Janette Nesheiwat to be the next Surgeon General, instantly sparking a strong reaction from conservatives, including many prominent independent conservative commentators. Dr. Mary Talley Bowden, founder of Americans for Health Freedom, posted a Fox News video of Dr. Nesheiwat from November 2021 in which she is seen preaching the COVID-19 vaccines to people, pushing for a third booster shot while citing the controversial CDC as her source that had been challenged and debunked by countless skeptics, mostly conservatives.

In another Fox News video from September 2021, Nesheiwat is seen repeating the same script that vaccination was a must if we were to get out of the COVID-19 emergency.

Nesheiwat has also pushed for masking requirements, another tyrannical measure that was highly controversial and later shown by studies to have not helped with COVID-19 while also seen as a contributor to aggravating other infections. Veteran biomedical scientist Dr. Judy A. Mikovits, author of Plague of Corruption, weighed in on Nesheiwat’s appointment in the wake of her nomination by President Trump. Dr. Mikovits told Roger Stone on his show that Nesheiwat exhibited lack of knowledge as well as willful ignorance in pushing for those measures.

Popular MAGA conservative commentator Liz Wheeler, who has a million followers on X, called Nesheiwat’s push for masks and vaccines during the COVID years a deal breaker in an X post. Wheeler also posted about Nesheiwat’s opposition to pro-life laws as the one passed in the state of Alabama. In her commentary on Monday (November 25), Wheeler presented her detailed case against the nomination of Dr. Nesheiwat to the post of Surgeon General or any other leadership position.

Wheeler and other conservatives also rang alarms of concern and condemnation over Dr. Nesheiwat’s going all praise for Facebook’s move to censor people who questioned the safety and effectiveness of vaccines. She thanked Facebook and its owner Mark Zuckerberg for censoring those voices and said she hoped and prayed that other social media platforms would follow suit. Dr. Simone Gold, Founder & President of America’s Frontline Doctors, took to X to slam Nesheiwat for it. She wrote: “Silencing those raising legitimate concerns about an experimental vaccine is wrong. Shame on her!”

Conservative filmmaker and commentator Dinesh D’Souza also questioned the nomination of Nesheiwat and asked, “Trump’s pick for Surgeon General, Janette Nesheiwat, promoted masking children. Is this who we want?”

Mike Adams, founder of Natural News and Brighteon, expressed his disappointment over Trump’s nomination of Nesheiwat by reposting another account’s comment on the pick and writing: “Trump is activating a swamp REUNION, not a swap draining.”
