Trump Wants Build “Impenetrable Dome” Over US!
Concerned over mounting threats of a nuclear war with Russia, Donald Trump says that one of his first priorities, if reelected, would be to build an “impenetrable dome” over the US.
He made the statement last week as he warned of a “catastrophic” Third World War.
“If you take a look right now, the ‘nuclear’ word is being mentioned all the time. This is a word you’re not allowed to use. It was never used during the Trump administration,” Trump said in a video released last week.
The former President claimed that nuclear threats are being made by other countries “because they have no respect for our leadership,” appearing to reference Russian President Vladimir Putin and his allies making threats about using nuclear weapons.
“World War III would be a catastrophe unlike any other. This would make World War I and World War II like very small battles,” Trump said.
To address this potential threat, Trump said he would “build a state-of-the-art next-generation missile defense shield, just as Israel is now protected by the Iron Dome.”
Israel’s Iron Dome was designed to intercept incoming missiles and is one of the most advanced defense systems in the world.
“America must have an impenetrable dome to protect our people,” Trump said.
Thus far, the bombastic Trump is the only Republican to announce their plans to run for President in 2024.
Trump also said he and “he alone” has a plan that would end the war in Ukraine, once again reiterating that Putin would never have even dared to invade its sovereign neighbor had Trump still been in the White House.
Trump gonna build this himself, whatttta guy. Is this before or after he fixes ObamaCare again? It’s ez too.
FYI: we have two Iron Dome systems we bought from Israel delivered in late 2020, mission accomplished. Guess he can check that box as a win. Nice to set goals you have already accomplished.
Trump plans to fix ObamaCare after he completes the border wall which may not be until he gets out of jail. But that’s not the deeper issue here. The issue is does Trump really know what he is talking about? He uses the term “Iron Dome” as an example or did he really mean the actual Iron Dome system which is designed to intercept and destroy dumb short-range rockets and artillery shells fired from distances of 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) to 70 kilometres (43 mi) – these are often fired into Israel by Hamas, and other Islamic militant groups.
What Trump actually said was “impenetrable dome system” and then was using Iron Dome as an example. But again, its hard to tell with Trump whether he was advocating buying Iron Dome Systems (which we currently have two that were successfully tested in 2021) and he thinks that Iron Dome systems is all we need? Or just using it as a functional description of what is needed on a much larger scale. Your guess is as good as mine.
The error I think I can definitely call out is that he conflated a long range intelligent nuc guided missile defense problem (which we actually already have several systems in place to do the job) with a very short range dumb rocket and very short range missile protection system solution. Trump could have used most of these as examples but did not:
Ground-based Midcourse Defense.
Arrow-3 ICBM System
Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD)
Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC-3)
Space-based Infrared System-High (SBIRS-HIGH)
So in my view, once again, Trump is confused and really does not know what he is talking about. But his minions will gobble it up like a yummy potato chip and thank him for the lie. So, nothing new under the sun!

Us producing domestically does not necessarily result in lower prices. We are sixth from the top for production costs: Saudi’s are like 40% of our costs. IOW — Saudi oil being in pools close to the surface, is cheaper than our production of oil from shale. UK North Sea costs are the highest, about twice our costs and 80% higher than Saudi oil.
IOW — only using our oil results in higher prices than importing some from lower cost regions.
As far as out of control spending made worse by cutting revenues —- that would be Trump, not Biden.
It would be absurd to think that anyone likes paying higher gas prices. I am an Independent/Unaffiliated voter. My comment was based on the fact that Trump spent four years as POTUS with access to the systems and the generals in charge of the systems – yet he still has not learned. Just like in 2016 Presidential Debate with Clinton (where I voted for Trump) he did not know nor understand anything when asked “What do you think about the Nuclear Triad”. He was totally unprepared and knew nothing about it. Same holds true in this case. Trump made a statement about the need to prepare and have an impenetrable dome against highly sophisticated guided ICBMs and then referenced a system “Iron Dome” that would never do the job. It is like a pea shooter going up against an M-16. His comment conflated a low tech dumb shell and very short range missile detection system for an answer to stopping high tech guided ICBMs. Its just simply bazaar.
Now, if Biden had made such a statement I promise you the GOP right wingers would have crucified him for his lack of knowledge about the systems! They would have pointed out the same things I just pointed out above! From an independent point of view, this is simply unfair.
Trump has a history of not knowing and not being able to grasp concepts like this. At some point Trump people must realize this. I am merely pointing out the erroneous bluster in his comment.

Not only add a so-called iron dome but make it a steel dome! You have the new space force. Put multiple deployment satellites in space with Rods from God (Thors Hammer) which are nonnuclear! Put nuclear-powered Lasers with state-of-the-art computers that can identify multiple targets and fire rapidly at them! Increase the number of warheads in all of our missile silos and build 5 times the amount of silos! This would be addition to the new Steel Dome!
