Trump vs Haley – a Real Race Now

Let me say this up front. I am a Trump fan, I think he was the best President since Reagan, and America and the world both need him to be president again. I’ll debate this all day long, based on facts and observations, and at the risk of gushing embarrassingly, he demonstrated capabilities that no other candidate can match.

With Ron DeSantis dropping from the race we are down to two serious contenders in the Republican Presidential primary. I liked Ron DeSantis, he has done an excellent job pushing conservative agenda in Florida, and I was glad to support him with some rather screwed up reasoning.

Early last year, I did not see a path forward for Trump, he had been seriously abused by the Democrats and liberal press, and had no particular issues that could be picked up by the mainstream media. Fortunately for Trump, the Democrats solved that problem by throwing fake criminal charge after fake criminal charge at him, keeping his name in the press and generating a frenzy that pushed him to the top.

And also let me say that I believe Nikki Haley is dangerous. This is solely based on her statement indicating that she believed everyone on social networks needs to be identifiable by the U.S. government. This one aspect of Nikki Haley disqualifies her in my opinion, she doesn’t understand freedom and the slippery slope of oppression.

The point is this. We needed the Republican Primaries to become a two person race.

Trump has been a genius in pitting himself against the field and getting his opponents to divide half the vote among themselves. Republicans need to know there is an alternative to Trump and have at least the possibility to take him down.

We have seen races in America and around the world where a dominant figure in the dominant party is guaranteed to win. That dominant figure is “annointed” by the small few elite and the voters have no reasonable options. Republicans needed a reasonable choice with real competition, so that fighters could get involved and push for their candidates. This is good for the Republican Party.

This puts Trump at a level of risk, but it also make him a more legitimate candidate given that he will emerge from a legitimate race. It energizes the base, it energizes the fighters on the Republican side, unifies the party and sets Trump up to show America that he has a mandate to undo the disaster that is the Biden Administration. Trump will have to rise to the occasion and he will.

We have major wars to deal with, a new Chinese trade bloc designed to hurt us, cultural assaults within America that are tearing us apart, and so much more than needs to be dealt with.

Trump needs that mandate.
