<p class="MsoNormal">It&rsquo;s safe to say that the last few days have been, to use Donald Trump&rsquo;s words, &ldquo;interesting.&rdquo; After <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">The Washington Post </em>released the 2005 tape from Trump making lewd comments about women, Trump was quick to make a formal apology.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I&rsquo;ve never said I&rsquo;m a perfect person, nor pretended to be someone that I&rsquo;m not. I&rsquo;ve said and done things I regret, and the words released today on this more than a decade-old video are one of them. Anyone who knows me, know these words don&rsquo;t reflect who I am.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I said it, it was wrong, and I apologize.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I&rsquo;ve travelled the country talking about change for America. But my travels have also changed me. I&rsquo;ve spent time with grieving mothers who&rsquo;ve lost their children, laid off workers whose jobs have gone to other countries, and people from all walks of life who just want a better future. I have gotten to know the great people of our country, and I&rsquo;ve been humbled by the faith they&rsquo;ve placed in me. I pledge to be a better man tomorrow, and will never, ever let you down.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> Let&rsquo;s be honest. We&rsquo;re living in the real world. This is nothing more than a distraction from the important issues we are facing today. We are losing our jobs, we are less safe than we were 8 years ago and Washington is broken.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> Hillary Clinton, and her kind, have run our country into the ground. ;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I&rsquo;ve said some foolish things, but there is a big difference between words and actions. Bill Clinton has actually abused women and Hillary has bullied, attacked, shamed and intimidated his victims. We will discuss this more in the coming days.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">So what exactly did the Republican candidate say off-the-record over 11 years ago?</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">He discusses his failed attempts at wooing a married woman with Billy Bush, formerly of &ldquo;Access Hollywood.&rdquo; ;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&#8220;I moved on her actually, she was down in Palm Beach and I failed. I&#8217;ll admit it. I did try to fuck her, she was married &#8230; and I moved on her very heavily,&#8221; said Trump in the clip. &#8220;I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture and I told her &#8216;I&#8217;ll show you where you can get some nice furniture. I moved on her like a bitch, and I could not get there, and she was married. And all the sudden I see her and she&#8217;s got the big phony tits, she&#8217;s totally changed her look.&rdquo; ;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">In the same video, he has some more remarks about women.  ;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&#8220;I&#8217;m automatically attracted to beautiful women &mdash; I just start kissing them, it&#8217;s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don&#8217;t even wait. And when you&#8217;re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab &#8217;em by the pussy.&#8221;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Trump had also responded to the clip saying, &#8220;This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course &mdash; not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended.&#8221;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Following the release, Trump&rsquo;s character has been under attack. Most of those closest to him have condemned the remarks, but have defended his character.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&#8220;The words my husband used are unacceptable and offensive to me. This does not represent the man that I know. He has the heart and mind of a leader. I hope people will accept his apology, as I have, and focus on the important issues facing our nation and the world,&rdquo; said Melania Trump.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">On Saturday, Trump&rsquo;s running mate, Mike Pence released a statement with similar sentiments. ;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&ldquo;As a husband and father, I was offended by the words and actions described by Donald Trump in the eleven-year-old video released yesterday. I do not condone his remarks and cannot defend them. I am grateful that he has expressed remorse and apologized to the American people. We pray for his family and look forward to the opportunity he has to show what is in his heart when he goes before the nation tomorrow night,&rdquo; said Pence.  ;</p>
