Top Democrats Break Party Line Over Iran Deal

<p>President Obama is losing the debate over his Iran deal&period; Faced with&nbsp&semi;growing number of Democratic opposition&comma; Obama soon could be forced to carry out his threat of vetoing any attempt to alter his nuclear deal with the rouge Iranian nation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Sen&period; Richard Blumenthal &lpar;D-Conn&period;&rpar;&comma; Sen&period; Chuck Schumer &lpar;D-N&period;Y&period;&rpar;&comma; Rep&period; Eliot Engel &lpar;D-N&period;Y&period;&rpar;&comma; Rep&period; Brad Sherman &lpar;D-Calif&period;&rpar; and Sen&period; Robert Menendez &lpar;D-N&period;Y&period;&rpar; have all expressed intent to vote against the Iranian nuclear deal&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;To me&comma; the very real risk that Iran will not moderate and will&comma; instead&comma; use the agreement to pursue its nefarious goals is too great&comma;&&num;8221&semi; Schumer&comma; who many consider presumptive Democratic Senate leader-in-waiting&comma; said&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>During a meeting with constituents in Cornwall&comma; Conn&period;&comma; last week&comma; Sen&period; Richard Blumenthal said there were &&num;8220&semi;weaknesses&&num;8221&semi; with the Iran nuclear agreement and added that&comma; &&num;8220&semi;there may have been a better deal if we&&num;8217&semi;d had different people doing it&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Although President Obama said last month that he will veto any legislation blocking the Iran nuclear deal&comma; the growing number of opposing Democratic Senators brings hope of reaching the crutial number of 67 votes&comma; the number needed to overrule a presidential veto&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Not just President Obama&&num;8217&semi;s own party is looking to overturn the potentially catastrophic deal with Iran&period;&nbsp&semi;350 prominent rabbis in Israel and abroad have&nbsp&semi;sent a letter to Congress urging lawmakers to oppose the &ldquo&semi;dangerous&rdquo&semi; nuclear agreement&period; &ldquo&semi;Your vote on the agreement &ndash&semi; by every legislator &ndash&semi; will either facilitate a nuclear war or spare humanity of a nuclear war&comma;&rdquo&semi; reads the letter&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Turkey&comma; Saudi Arabia and Iraqi Kurdistan&comma; countries with very little in common&comma; &nbsp&semi;also have spoken out against the dangerous deal&period; The Democratic party must put aside petty&comma; partisan loyalties and listen to the overwhelming&comma; unified voice of the international community&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
