The (Mug) Shot Seen Around the World

The (Mug) Shot Seen Around the World

I will go out on a limb on this one.  Never before in history has there been a police mug shot viewed so many times by so many people than the one of President Trump.  It was anticipated that any mug shot of Trump would be viewed as a badge of honor by the fans of the former President.  It was easily predicted that it would appear on an endless array of swag items – including t-shirts, key chains and coffee mugs.   And that millions of dollars would be spent on purchases.  Trump’s campaign would use them as fundraisers, perhaps even offering “signed” photos.  One with a real autograph could become a very valuable collector’s item.

Now that the mug shot has been released, the flurry of interest – and the sales of mug shot items – will grow exponentially.  Instead of raking in millions of dollars for Trump’s campaign and Political Action Committees, the photo is more likely to generate tens – and even hundreds – of millions of dollars.  And most of the credit for the uptick in value goes to Trump himself.

Some credit goes to the Fulton County sheriff’s office.  They take really nice mug shots.  They are so good that they would qualify for professional business head shots or on a person’s Facebook profile pic.  They are a far cry from the mug shots of yesteryear that make every defendant look like a criminal – especially with those numbers across the chest.  Outside of the Fulton County emblem in the upper lefthand corner, you would never know they were police mug shots.

In Trump’s case, it was the pose that makes all the difference.  He had to contemplate “the look” he wanted to achieve.  Serious? Thoughtful?  Smiling?  In pondering the various options, Trump came up with the most dramatic mug shot most folks have ever seen – or even contemplated.  In the snap of the shutter, Trump proved that he is the consummate showman.

With one expression, he conveys a lot.  His steely-eyed look into the camera suggests strength and determination.  Without a word, it says “I will prevail.”  “I will win.” And even “I am coming for you.”  In some ways, it is reminiscent of the famous “I want you” military recruitment poster of Uncle Sam.

The image was so compelling that CNN and MSNBC could not take the image off the screens for hours.  Even when they showed the thumbnail images of guests and panelists, the Trump mug shot stayed on screen.  I doubt that any mug shot in rogues gallery history has ever communicated clearer and more powerful messages to so many people.  That is the image that inspires the Trump base and sends chills down the spines of his detractors.

It is yet another example of the through-the-looking-glass political world Trump has created.  One in which criminal indictment creates greater popularity and a mug shot becomes more popular than Marilyn Monroe on the cover of the first Playboy Magazine.

It will become the ubiquitous iconic image of all things Trump.  You will see it in the news, on social media and on placards carried by pro-Trump protesters.  The closest competition in presidential imagery arguably belongs to the Matthew Brady photograph of President Lincoln that was used for the penny.

It is said that “a picture is worth a thousand words.”  That mugshot has already spawning millions of words – and will for some time.

So, there ‘tis.

I still say it’s a picture that frightens little children away.

Johnny, that’s George Washington on the dollar bill, he’s considered the father of our country. And that’s Abe Lincoln on the penny, we call him honest Abe. And that’s Don…….wait, Johnny, come back, don’t be scared, a picture can’t hurt you….. Yes, Johnny, that’s Trump, the king of retribution……

That’s what I see, Mr. Horist, anger and retribution.

Let’s talk about the real election interference that’s going on right now before our eyes. The commiecrats don’t give a damn about locking trump up. It’s all about keeping him out of the White House. The prosecution in these cases are using statutes that doesn’t even apply. People have better wake up or someday voting will be eliminated. The idea has been floated. This trump persecution is only the first step. By weaponized law enforcement against us it won’t take much. But people have became sheeples and are getting more stupid every day.

Then you will have no problems in court; especially the two with Republican judges or the one with the Trump Judge.

The judges didn’t bring the charges you moron. And there’s some republicans that have sold out to satan. Namely the democrat party

Did I say the judges brought the charges, “you moron.” Which Republicans worship Satan?

You worship a sexual abusing “digital” rapist. Bet you pay his legal bills too. Keep the faith, buy a mug shot mug. Better yet, wait for the bobblehead for $30 available in June. It will be numbered for authenticity or not.

have you been reading ashley’s private diary again? how did you find it? even trump turned that one down. Project Veritas did not publish so to avoid jailtime. are they even still in business after all the hacking, legal cases, firings, and such? you known, the diary some druggie found, stole, sold to Project Veritas for $40K for them to weaponize. Believe it was Aimee Harris and Robert Kurlander who plead guilty to conspiracy to commit interstate transportation of stolen property. It has been authenticated by others. You must be so proud. Can I rummage through your PC for public tidbits?

have you no shame. can I detail barron now that you did ashley?

As I said earlier, Trump’s mug shot is 100% the Evil Eye.

The evil eye is a supernatural belief in a curse brought about by a malevolent glare, usually given to a person when one is unaware.

andy … LOL As good an explanation as any.

That Trump actually has a police mug shot taken as part of his record on file in Franklin County Georgia is quite a distinction on many levels. None of which are positive for any other person in this fair land. In addition this, it is spectacularly true in the case of a person with ambitions of achieving a winning run for political office from local precinct to the nation’s top spot. All others found with a mere sliver of Trumps considerable hugely chronicled personal baggage would well know not to apply.
Most normal intelligent discerning persons, which appears as a truth high bar for one’s ethics and moral compass, and should come to a most reasonable conclusion. The campaign cannot and should not be allowed to proceed
Objectively unbiased and apolitical in judgement, Trump, the man does not rise to the minimum constitutional standard for eligibility as defined by thr 14th Amendment for POTUS.
Yet, inexplicably, Trump still has his true believers. Those who avow conservatism, the Republican Party. and the Big Lie, will vote for Trump even if they write his name in on their ballot.
Strangely. Trump acolytes are convinced the people’s vote was stolen, but trust a write-in scribbled on ballots will be tabulated when machine read.
Going on three years since 2020’s election and no evidential proof has been found. The political right persists in a false belief, saying just wait, everything will come out into the open,
In the meanwhile, Trump continues as standard bearer for whatever that lot loosely holds to, political nonsense.
Trump’s picture went viral in the belief this is his “mug shot”. It is a .shot of his famous mug, but true police mug shots are actually two pictures, one is shot straight on. The other shot is in profile shot with head turned 90 degrees left or right. Not so with Trump’s staye sanctioned photograph. In this long awaited event Trump exposed himself unlike any president who had preceded him .
Will government income tax benefit from the millions in revenue made huckstering Trump’s likeness?
