The essential first question is … why does George Soros focus on funding the prosecutors in the criminal justice system? He claims that it is to fight against racism and the unjust imprisonment of minorities. Critics attribute a darker motive – that he wants to undermine the power of the United States by creating chaos.
The first seems like a reasonable motive – and the latter a bit on the outrageous side. BUT … if you look at Soros’ use of his money in the bigger picture, he seems more driven by promoting radical left-wing chaos and unrest than social justice. His funding vehicles – such as the Democracy Alliance and his $32 billion Open Society Foundation – have noble sounding names, but the money goes in support of powerful regulatory institutions and the most radical left-wing candidates. In the 2022 election cycle, Soros spend more than $130 million on Democrat campaigns and political action committees.
We should not be fooled by the names of Soros’ political operations any more than we should believe in the Peoples’ REPUBLIC of China, the Russian FEDERATION, or the DEMOCRATIC Front for the Reunification of Korea.
Some argue that Soros’ mission is to destabilize and weaken the United States. He plays on a grand scale, using his money to influence national outcomes – attempting to pick winners and losers in the international competition of nations and political philosophies.
Soros’ election reform efforts are generally centered on reducing ballot protections in the name of making it easier to vote. If you let anyone vote – whether eligible or ineligible – you do increase the number of ballots and the amount of cheating. Duh! He justifies his support for open voting with the claim that there is no such thing as vote fraud – so we do not need preventative measures. That is the kind of disinformation that drives left-wing narratives in the media.
One of the major means to destabilize a nation is to essentially surrender the borders. Soros’ is a major donor to open border candidates. He contributes to the creation of a deadly human crisis for those lured to the border and for those who fall victim to the drugs and crime crossing the border.
Soros’s hypocrisy may be best seen in his emphasis on funding left-wing prosecutors. While he claims he is fighting against injustice to minorities, he is – in fact – contributing to the high crime rates that are impacting most severely on … minorities. In a claimed effort to keep more young black men out of prison, he is willing to have more young black men – and women and children – die in the streets.
If you follow Soros’ logic, he seems to believe that the folks in the segregated ghettos will be happy to see the young men – criminal types – remains on the streets even if it means that more will die – as they are doing as you read this.
Soros’ motives are seen in his funding. He is not working to bring real justice to minorities, but to cripple policing and undermine the prosecution of criminals. Amazingly, he can find candidates for local states attorney, attorneys general, and other offices who are willing to engage in his dangerous soft on crime policies.
We have seen the results of Soros’ efforts across the country – where his prosecutors are essentially de-criminalizing crime. They do it with policy changes or simply by using prosecutorial discretion to not prosecute.
Have you seen how tens of thousands of rioters have looted, burned, vandalized and assaulted without being held to lawful accountability? The system is so ass-backwards, that Vice President Harris helped raise money to get rioters out of jail on bail – knowing that they will never be brought to trial.
In many cities, so-called “low level crimes” will no longer be prosecuted – including theft under a certain amount, carjacking, simple assault and battery (simple if you are not the victim), shoplifting, etc., etc., etc. Even drug dealers are being treated to revolving door treatment.
We have seen the impact on crime produced by Soros-type prosecutors. We have seen the results in Seattle, Portland, and New York. Fortunately, the public is reacting. They defeated the prosecutor in Seattle and actually used recall to oust the prosecutor in very liberal San Francisco.
Soros’ anti-law-and-order crowd even shifts the blame for crime away from the criminal. We have seen that guns are more responsible for murders than the folks who pull the trigger. We have seen examples of citizens defending themselves from criminals, and being charged.
Uber-liberal Minnesota Attorney Generally Keith Ellison is now placing the onus on the car – and the car manufacturers—for the growing number of carjackings and auto thefts. He blames car theft on the manufacturers who make it too easy to steal their cars. (I will pause while you say “WHAT?”).
Ellis went so far as to say that Hyundais and Kias essentially have a bumper stickers that say “steal me.” In that spirit, if someone grabs your lawn chair, it is your fault for leaving it in your yard.
Soros and his son, Alexander, have been major funders for Ellison’s campaigns. They each gave a legal limit $2500 in the last campaign, but Alexander donated more than $100,000 to an independent expenditure campaign supporting Ellison. This is the Soros’ standard operating procedure. He and his son spend millions on radical left-wing candidates each cycle.
My ex-brother-in-law ran for Illinois Attorney General. He lost the Republican nomination but had a great motto, “Make crime illegal again.” That sums up the reason why voters need to protect their communities from prosecutors who are not fighting crime – but promoting it. I would suggest that whenever you see a candidate with a Soros donation – father or son – you cast your ballot for the other candidate.
So, there ‘tis.
