Somali-Infested MN Revealed as America’s Fraud Capital

Though late and overdue, America under President Trump’s administration is finally waking up to see the horrors of the Democrat-facilitated destruction of the country, state by state and city after city. The boundless plunder of public funds in Minnesota, a victim of the mass migration from Somalia under the left’s open borders and chain migration policies, is now a national scandal in headlines.

At the center of the fraud, which Trump’s security advisor Stephen Miller called the “single greatest theft of taxpayer dollars through welfare fraud in American history,” is the Minneapolis-area Somali immigrant population of which some 75% is on welfare. Miller told Fox News that he believes the state government is fully complicit in this fraud.

As reported in National Review (December 3), mainstream media ignored the rampant fraud, which is worth around $1 billion in stolen taxpayer money, in the welfare programs during the COVID years. Since the first federal investigation into these fraud schemes involving the Somali immigrant community of Minneapolis area was launched in 2022, indictments have been piling up. As this massive fraud happened under the nose of the liberal, pro-immigrant and anti-American administration of Minnesota, conservative critics are calling out the state administration for enabling it. In the words of prosecutor Joe Thompson:

“This fraud crisis didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s the result of widespread failure across nearly every level of leadership in Minnesota: Politicians who turned a blind eye. Agencies that failed to act. Prosecutors and law enforcement who didn’t push hard enough. Reporters who ignored the story.”

On Friday (December 5), Fox News reported that updates in the fraud investigation suggest an amount eight times as big as the earlier reported $1 billion. The report pointed to Governor Tim Walz’s denial of enabling the fraud as he runs for re-election.

Kelly Loeffler, who heads the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), had also mentioned Walz obstructing her team’s investigation into the network of Somali organizations and executives involved in this massive organized fraud.

While Governor Walz failed the people of Minnesota in enabling the Somali fraud machinery in his state, it gets more alarming when the stolen money is followed as to where it ended up. Last month, Christopher F. Rufo and Ryan Thorpe reported in a Substack article (November 21) the details of the amount of money stolen, the multiple fraudulent ways in which the Somalis in Minnesota with American citizenship committed the theft, and how it was funneled back to Somalia. The article revealed that in 2023 alone, the Somali diaspora sent back $1.7 billion, which exceeds the Somali government’s budget for that year. It also revealed, for the first time, that some of this money was directed at the al-Qaida-linked Islamic terror group Al-Shabaab:

According to multiple law-enforcement sources, Minnesota’s Somali community has sent untold millions through a network of “hawalas,” informal clan-based money-traders, that have wound up in the coffers of Al-Shabaab.

With the American taxpayer suffering from this Somali plague brought to the country via chain migration en masse by the Democrats, the fraud committed is made worse by the fact that Somalis have infiltrated the federal government in America. The New York Post asked this Thursday (December 4) what Somali-American Congresswoman from MN Ilhan Omar knew about this welfare fraud. The story wrote:

Omar (D-Minn.) held parties at one of the key restaurants named in the fraud, knew one of its now-convicted owners, and one of her own staffers has also been convicted — both for stealing millions.

Fox News reported on it as well and conservative social media accounts reminded of Ilhan Omar’s net worth jumping from under $100K in 2020 to $30 million in 2024.
