Sidney Powell Launches Super PAC to ‘Restore Rule of Law’
Sidney Powell, the pro-Trump lawyer who became famous for the “kraken” lawsuits, announced a new Super PAC this Sunday. She named the PAC “Restore the Republic.”
Founded with My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell, Restore the Republic vows to support Constitutional rights. This includes the freedom of speech and the right to free and fair elections.
“The American people deserve a voice that exposes and rejects the self-interest of political parties, the control of tech giants, and the lies of the fake news,” says Powell.
Through the Super PAC, Powell will have the ability to raise unlimited amounts of cash to spend on initiatives as long as she does not coordinate directly with a campaign or candidate.
Who is Sidney Powell?
Sidney Powell is an attorney and federal prosecutor best known for prosecuting Jimmy Chagra, representing executives during the Enron scandal, and successfully defending retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn. She joined Trump’s legal team in 2020 in an attempt to overturn President Joe Biden’s victory. However, the team ousted her after she made outlandish statements regarding voter fraud and the election process.
“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own,” confirmed Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani. “She is not a member of the Trump legal team. She is also not a lawyer for the president in her personal capacity.”
Powell’s “kraken” lawsuits included farfetched claims about Dominion (the supplier of voting machines to Georgia and other states), including the allegation that Dominion was somehow created by deceased Venezuelan dictator Huge Chavez for the purpose of rigging the 2020 election. Dominion launched a $1.3 billion defamation suit against Powell after several of its employees – including its founder – received death threats.
Despite vicious attacks from the liberal media, Powell continues to hold true to her belief that President Biden did not legally win the election. “Eighty million people were just disenfranchised by the inauguration of a President not elected by lawful votes,” she said last week. “The Democrats abandoned their base and the Republicans betrayed theirs.”
Not surprisingly, Twitter has banned Powell from the platform.
