<p>Iowa Rep. Steve King has a reputation for his tough stance on immigration and demographics. &ldquo;We can&rsquo;t restore our civilization with somebody else&rsquo;s babies,&rdquo; he tweeted on Sunday. ;</p>
<p>King&rsquo;s tweet was in support of Geert Wilders, a far-right Dutch politician who is sometimes referred to as &ldquo;Dutch Trump.&rdquo; Wilders has called to ban the Koran, and his party&rsquo;s platform seeks to prohibit the construction of new mosques. He ;regularly faces criticism for his views on immigration, race, and culture. ;</p>
<p>King&#8217;s tweet was referencing an earlier tweet posted by the anti-EU <em>Voice of Europe</em> organization. The original post shows a ;cartoon image of Wilders (above image) with the message, &ldquo;Hundreds of Islamists shouting &lsquo;Allahu Akbar&rsquo; in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Wilders is right for over 10 years.&rdquo; ;</p>
<p>King&rsquo;s response to the tweet has been perceived as xenophobic, anti-Muslim, and racist. ;</p>
<p>Facing criticism from citizens and lawmakers on the Left and the Right, King staunchly defended his tweet by saying, &ldquo;I meant exactly what I said, as is always the case.&rdquo; ;</p>
<p>It&rsquo;s true that America was formed from people of many nations, but King is correct in his opinion that America cannot fix its current decline in population by resettling massive numbers of non-western refugees. &ldquo;Cultural suicide by demographic transformation must end,&rdquo; King tweeted shortly before the 2016 presidential election.</p>
<p>Like Trump, King has also spoken out many times against the criminal threat posed by illegal immigrants from Mexico. ;</p>

<p>Sharia Law and Muslim culture do not, cannot, and will not coexist peacefully alongside western ;society. The disastrous effects such a culture can have are exemplified by the ongoing violence in ;Sweden, Germany, France, and other nations that are struggling to cope with new migrant populations. ;</p>
<p><strong>Editor&#8217;s Note</strong>: King was immediately accused of racism in this remark, but it appears he has the guts to stick up for his opinion. Explosive population is a huge dangerr to a country barely breaking even. His comments are relevant and resonant. Why would we want to build such a great country just to eventually give it away to people who haven&#8217;t earned it.</p>
