Renee Good Died of Poor Judgment
It will take thorough investigations to determine all the facts surrounding the fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. Unfortunately, the facts are being set aside for provocative political judgments on both sides.
A broad range of Democrats and left-wing media personalities have jumped ahead of the investigation to make profound claims based solely on personal opinion and political bias – and the use of selected video. Minnesota Governor Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Frey, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries are among those who have waded in as prosecutors of the ICE agent – accusing him of killing an innocent person without cause. Although one day later, Walz claimed he was not being judgmental. Uh huh.
In a display of hyperbolic hypocrisy, Democrats were accusing federal officials of rushing to judgment – ignoring their own statements. While they hypocritically accuse the Trump administration of rushing to judgment, they are not entirely wrong.
Conversely, we heard from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem immediately defend the ICE agent – accusing Good of following and harassing ICE agents prior to the confrontation. She called Good a domestic terrorist. Those comments were also premature and provocative.
Although we now know that Good was not merely an innocent mother of three and poet, as the left-wing described her. She was deeply involved in street protests as an active member of ICE Watch – an organization that tracks and confronts ICE agents, often interfering with their activities.
Good was involved in ICE Watch’s confronting agents in Minneapolis on the day of the shooting. Good was involved in harassing agents and interfering with their activities prior to the shooting. Both are crimes and activities not protected by the First Amendment as “peaceful protest.”
There are many facts that are unknown at this time. But … some facts are evident in the videos. Whatever might have preceded the events recorded on various videos, we can see that Good’s vehicle was blocking the road and temporarily impeding ICE movement. In and of itself, that is not a big deal. But it is a crime.
When officers approached the vehicle and ordered Good to get out of the car, she refused. That is when she made a terrible mistake that set off a series of events that resulted in her being shot. It is illegal to disobey a police order. As an attorney, Good should have known that. Had she got out of the car, she would likely be alive today. At worst, she would have been arrested and released – or she may have been reprimanded and told to move out of the area. She physically resisted the officers’ orders and attempted to escape.
We can see in the video that one officer reached into the vehicle to prevent Good from driving off against the police order. Instead, she continued to move forward. That is when her poor judgment turned the situation into a tragic event. She hit and injured an agent with her car – resulting in a brief trip to the hospital. When Good struck the officer with her car, she committed a serious felony – anything from assault on a police officer to attempted murder by vehicle. She used her vehicle as a weapon – giving agents the right to use lethal force according to universal police protocols. Other crimes not evident in videos – such as interfering with the work of police – will be determined by the investigations. Her most serious crimes were seen on the videos.
Based on her known conduct, Good would have been pursued and arrested for the attack on the officer even if the shooting had not taken place. She disobeyed a police order, resisted arrest, committed battery on a police officer, and attempted to leave the scene of an accident with personal injury. All very serious crimes.
Apart from the political statements on both sides, it is obvious in the videos that Good used very bad judgment when approached by ICE agents.
Based on just what we see on the videos, I would be surprised if the ICE agent was charged with a crime – and even more surprised if he were convicted
We can all agree that it was a tragedy. The fact that she was the mother of three children and reported to be a nice person adds to the tragedy but is irrelevant. Whether she was acting offensively prior to the recorded videos is irrelevant. We cannot know from the videos whether she hit the officer in anger, with malicious intent or the result of panic. But she hit him. What we saw on those videos showed incredibly bad judgment on Good’s part … period. She broke an escalating number of laws. Sadly, it was Good’s poor judgment and bad decisions – her own complicity — that resulted in her death.
So, there ‘tis.

She allowed democrats to fill her head with lies and misinformation. How did that work out?
It’s called play stewpid game, win stewpid prize!
Larry, I agree poor judgement, but it might be on the side of the ICE agents, especially the one that shot Good multiple times in the face when not in imminent harm. Nor any other agents. If, at any point before the final shots, he was in imminent harm, it was because he unprofessionally, against all forms of police training, put himself in harm’s way. What, or who, possessed him to break a prime directive of training? Did he think he was faster than a suburban housewife? More powerful than an all-wheel drive, or able to leap SUV’s in a single bound? The point he comes from the back, around the side, across the entire front, the risk of harm skyrockets. Against all forms of police training in all jurisdictions, across the entire United States.
That day, multiple ICE agents may have been giving conflicting orders to leave the area, or leave the vehicle. She did not die of her own poor judgement, except to be there parked illegally in the road and attempting to flee. She ultimately died from one to three bullets, two fired point blank, into the side window when in no way was any ICE agent in imminent harm of being rammed just after her spouse yells: “drive, baby, drive. Her spouse may have been the spark igniting this one, but the final two shots, probably the kill shots, came after all possibility of imminent harm.
You cannot be in two places at once, the front bumper and the side window.
She did not block ICE, many vehicles easily went around.
As to being rammed, clipped, whatever: one clip, pun intended, from down the street may show a touch, a clip. It’s some distance and grainy. Others point away from him being hit. Some experts say yes, some no. Not conclusive yet, but I am guessing the windshield shot forensics will tell us much, and combined with the paths of the death shots will help reveal was he, or was he not hit. He never goes down. He never limps. He walks up and down the street, and a few minutes later, drives himself away. He is not seen by EMS on the scene.
Your account has some holes in it as it is too early to pass judgement on some things until the forensics come in, hopefully faster than the Epstein files. I think you will find the most objective description, from all sides, on WIKI. You should try it to see if you might soften those harsh rush to judgements exhibited in your story that points out how both sides are doing the same.
A few things are clear. This man stepped in front of an idling vehicle which is universally against all police training lessons from any jurisdiction in the land. To reduce risk, officers should not step in front or behind vehicles, especially idling ones. He had just been dragged getting 30 stiches for putting his hand inside an idling vehicle, his training and this teachable moment did not stick. This man put two shots, execution style into her face from the side window when he was not in imminent harm, all “potential harm” had literally passed him by. There was no one else in front of her. He had taken pics of the plates, they could have picked her up at any time; her spouse even mentioned it.
I will hold judgement until investigation completes, but the training oops and the final shots do not bode well, IMO.
And you know Good was not an imminent threat how exactly? She had already shown she was more than willing to run over one officer and was trying to escape and possibly run over another officer. She had already run over one officer with no remorse and quite possibly would have run over more. She got what she deserved but her children will grow up knowing their mother tried to murder a federal agent and was shot.
Not in imminent harm? He has internal bleeding, how do you reconcile that fact?
“Your account has some holes in it as it is too early to pass judgement ” says The Liberal who just used over 500 words passing judgement on a deadly incident that resulted in the death of a Citizen of America.America a society based on The Rule of Law.Every kid growing up knows enough to not talk back to a question from a police officer never mind disobeying lawful instructions to cease unlawful activity.
Just as a driver who fails to remain in his car when instructed this lady did likewise and failed to suspend her actions thus potentially endangering Law Officers whom she was actively hampering in the course of their Lawful Duty. She may have been encouraged by her partner but it was she who made the decision to ignore Lawful Instructions and she moved her vehicle in a threatening manner which obviously heightened the threat level for the agents present.Attempting to use a vehicle to escape from the scene of an illegal action and endangering Lawful Federal Agents is a felony and per Federal and all other police Protocols potentially opens any assailant in such an action to deadly force.
Illegal actions have serious actions but too many people because they are being emboldened by ” Agent Provocateurs ” on The Left are of the mind that because they are allowed to protest then that protest can empower them to violently attack Police and Federal Agents.
Her Decision to ignore the commands of the Federal Agents exposed her to deadly force just as you would be exposed if you failed to step out of your vehicle when commanded by any Police officer. If you attempted to move away from a scene where a police officer commanded you to stop and step out of your vehicle you would run the risk of being shot! You would be wrong in your decision and her poor judgement and wrong decision exposed her to deadly force which was Lawfully applied! Liberals and Socialist or as I believe they should be named ,Anarchists who challenge established Law Enforcement to drive their UnAmerican Ideology will attempt to challenge established order under any flag to achieve want they want! Attacking ICE is but one means of trying to destabilize American Life and it just highlights the extent to which Democrats and their paid legions of Anarchists will go to undermine Christian American society!
The only things we don’t yet know is – how much were Good and he partner being paid to harass ICE agents, and who was paying them?
2w: actually you don’t even know if they made money this way.
Michele, how Christian of you. What do you call a person who uses real name and a photo on a political website? Brilliant? What do you call a cop who steps in front of an idling vehicle against all police training? Uber smart?
Namer, Big, read my piece, pretty clear. Read the WIKI ,pretty objective.
The first shot MAY have been in defense of imminent harm; juries still out, need forensics on the windshield trajectory to better establish imminent harm. The clips are not conclusive; the one that shows him being clipped is from down the street and grainy. Experts based on clips are divided as to a hit, a clip, or a miss. The second two shots are from the side; there is no imminent danger at that time. The thought that she might drive around hitting more people is conjecture, not imminent harm.
There is no confirmation on the internal bleeding. Not even confirmation on the hospital visit. He clearly remained standing during the entire incident; walked up and down the street, no limp, drove himself away, and was seen taking down his maga and Gadsen support flags and packing boxes just before he moved out to a safer location after being outed by JDVance and Noem. Noem is on record as a pathological liar so I believe confirmation is needed. The hospital can do that in a wink of the eye. But Namer, there is no proof hE was run over; perhaps clipped, hit, but not run over.
And why was a trained officer both in back and in front of an idling vehicle against any police training, in any jurisdiction, in any State in the entire US of A? Especially a guy who months earlier got over 30 stitches for sticking his hand in a window, getting caught and being dragged. Talk about a teachable moment.
I just wish they would let the State help investigate. Any state if they don’t trust MN. The lack of transparency, urgency, is appalling.
Over 30 people died in ICE custody in 2025 matching their record of 2004. 75% of detainees have no criminal record beyond border jumping, a misdemeanor. ICE has fired weapons over 15 times in 2025 until now. 13 of the shootings were into vehicles resulting in 8 wounded, two dead. Think it’s four dead so far.. No ICE agents died by violence in 2025. 66 vehicular attacks on ICE, but cannot be confirmed. CATO, a right bias research house that I like said: “Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Kristi Noem, Border Czar Tom Homan, and others have repeatedly stated that being an ICE or Border Patrol agent is a dangerous job. The facts don’t support them.” *https://www.cato.org/blog/2025-was-2nd-safest-year-border-patrol-ice-agents* It’s safer to be ICE-white than a brown person with papers. Just saying.
Really Dunger? Over 30 killed in ICE custody? The patriots are thinning the herd.
Willie, that’s what the NAZI’s said.
Some more on Larry’s piece.
Yes, she was in ICE Watch, she was active that day. We know of no illegal activities at this time. There is no proof of payment for what she was doing. Watching ICE, recording ICE, alarming citizens about ICE is not illegal. I personally love the whistles. Then again, I used radar detection in my WRX, thing idled above the speed limit for city streets, and have license plate reader blocks in now to defeat the funky cams. If legal, why not avoid unnecessary police issues. Cops are auto cam-ing plates now running checks on any plate their cams pick up as they cruise around. I got nailed twice in 20 minutes the other day for expired registration (DMV did not electronically inform me I missed the date) as in I got nailed, tried to drive home and got nailed on the way, ouch. Warnings. because it pays to be old, non-threatening, polite, white guy. Today, as they profile the entire race of brown people arresting many with no serious beyond a misdemeanor for border jumping, I have no issues with leveling the playing field. Legally.
After all, the game is afoot. If you guys passed the Republican bill for E-verify, the undocumented problem would be over in months. Has Democratic sponsors and support too. Just get No-Johnson-Johnson to bring it to the floor. Then we can end this cruelty for good TV and get back to profitable work efforts.
Yes, her car was perpendicular blocking one lane. There was a car in front of her doing the same. Ross the shooter, had easily driven around Ross and parked his car in front of hers. He then proceeded down the passenger side to take a picture of her plate as we hear her spouse talking about not changing plates so they can find them later to talk to them. He should have done that. Good’s spouse is “mouthy,” IMO, perhaps even confrontational but professional police should not react to that crap. Good inches forward, two more cars easily pass by, waved by by Good. An ICE truck stops, two agents get out. Ross moves to right side of Good’s car, puts phone from right to left hand.
It starts getting confusing, one agent may tell Good to drive away, another professionally yells: “get out of the fucking car.” Good puts her car in reverse. Then all hell breaks loose as one agent puts his hand on the door handle by the open driver’s window, the spouse attempts to open the front passenger door, Good drives a few feet in reverse, she is moving, and for some unknown reason and totally unprofessional reason, Ross moves in front of the left bumper, and the spouse shouts: “drive baby drive.”
Good cuts the wheels to go around Ross’s car and away from Ross at the front bumper. Ross may or may not be clipped as he fires the first shot through the windshield. That shot’s trajectory will tell a lot; I am guessing it came from an angle not putting Ross in imminent harm as Good’s front tires are pointing away from him to go around his car and away from him. I am guessing this shot is not kill shot unless it ricochets from the dashboard. It’s really low and angled. The second two shots, probably the kill shot, come from the side window and Ross cannot be in imminent danger by that time. Him being clipped, hit, or missed, is not totally clear yet. Him acting against all forms of police training, from any police outfit in the US, is. His injures are reported by Noem with no collaboration at this point. IF seen at hospital, he was released that day, spend the next hours taking down his pro-maga and Gadsen flags, packing boxes to flee to a safe location. Or maybe his friends packed while he recuperated.
The ICE agents left minutes later pretty much ruining the crime scene for further forensics. We don’t know if any body cams were there and working.
But Larry’s contention that she was blocking and impeding ICE is not true in that multiple vehicles easily went around her, including Ross’s ICE vehicle. The contention that ICE was digging out of the snow is not substantiated yet. There is question of what she was told to do, there seems to be conflicting orders, but her spouse clearly yelled, drive, baby, drive just before she did and died
You say Good was an attorney, are you sure? You say the officer was injured. He never goes down, he does not limp, he walks up and down the street, he seems to be OK to pack boxes for moving. I do not know why the ICE agents did not deescalate and just pick her up the next day. And who yelled the last words she heard: “fucking bitch.” That might go to motive as in retribution for Good’s previous activities. If that’s Ross, he should be toast.
But much still unknown and hopefully comes out faster, and more honest, than the Epstein files. I am not hopeful and shutting out MN investigators is not a good sign for transparency. We need a special master and objective third party.
It would appear Danger ” Protests too much !”
His fever is rising as he cannot get others to agree with him!
Perhaps there is a need for street protests to drive his claims home to all us louts that refuse to see life through his eyes!
