Pelosi’s reality TV show is about to air

There is a reason that the so-called public hearings of Speaker Pelosi’s Select Committee on the events of January 6, 2021, are being launched like a major television reality show.  Because that is what it is.  The idea is to take the one-sided prosecutorial deliberations of the Committee and launch them as a primetime television extravaganza.

Unlike virtually all legitimate congressional hearings, the Pelosi show will air in the evening – in tv land’s most watched hours.  There could be a backfire, however.  They will be taking the place of the American people’s favorite shows.  Because of their own biases, most of the networks will be giving the show full gavel-to-gavel coverage – all, that is, except FOX News.  They will cover the event as a normal news story.

The Pelosi production is likely to get good ratings on the first night.  More telling will be how the audience numbers hold up over the six-day mini-series.

The extent to which Pelosi & Co. want this to be a television production rather than an honest coverage of an honest hearing is evident in the fact that the Democrats have hired James Goldston, former president of ABC News, to produce the show.  That guarantees that the Democrats reality show will be no more real than all those other phony “reality” shows.

Rather than learning the facts that led up to the Capitol Hill riot, Democrats are taking their preconceived politicized narrative and turning it into a multi-day infomercial for the Democratic Party – or put another way, negative political advertising against Republicans.

The stridently partisan California Congressman Adam Schiff laid out the Democrats’ intentions in plain language.  He described the upcoming broadcast as a “comprehensive narrative,” not a fair hearing.  Schiff told CBS’ Margaret Brennan that “Our goal is to present the narrative of what happened in this country, how close we came to losing our democracy, what led to the violence.”

In typical television hype, Democrats are promising political bombshells.  It is hard to imagine that they could offer anything more than old wine in a new bottle.  They have pretty much announced and leaked their preconceived opinions – and selective information – over the course of the past year.

Conceding that there may not be any new revelations of significance, Democrats are saying that the production is still important because “the public has not seen it woven together, how one thing led to another.”  In other words, the public has not gotten the full spin, yet.

Because the Select Committee was empowered for the sole purpose of producing propaganda, there are a lot of issues that were never explored – and never will be.  It was announced early on that Pelosi would not be called as a witness – in private or in public – even though there are still questions why she rejected offers for the National Guard to participate in protecting the Capitol Building.  Why was the Capitol Police Force under-manned … under-equipped … and not briefed on their duties on that day?  Why were so many demonstrators/rioters allowed to enter without resistance – some even were invited to enter.

Democrat operatives were on the scene.  In some videos, FBI informants were seen encouraging the crowd to enter the Building.  None of those folks have been called to testify.  Why were the early warnings from the intel community of possible violence totally ignored by Pelosi – who is responsible for the safety of the Building?  The most important question is … why wasn’t she called?

The primary purpose of this media extravaganza is the same as the primary purpose of the year-long private (leaked) hearings – to enhance Democrat prospects in the midterm elections by demonizing the Republican Party – and all Republican candidates – with the broadest brush of slanderous accusations.

In fact, this is not even the final report of the Pelosi Committee.  They had previously announced this as an “interim event.”  Any final report and complete hearings could not be completed in time to influence the November election.  The Committee has not even heard from many of the most critical witnesses.

This event was concocted as a crass political stunt, devoid of any legitimate legislative purpose.  And the composition of the Select Committee assures that it has no intention of arriving at a fully informed legitimate conclusion.

It will play well with the biased media and those who have consumed the Kool-Aid that the American Republic was on the verge of extinction from a widespread insurrection – and that America is in the grips of an ongoing attempt to overthrow the government by the GOP and supported by half the American population as zombie-like cultists.  Even Alfred Hitchcock could not have turned that script into a compelling movie.

The only thing that will be missing when Pelosi, the Democrats, and the media conclude this fanciful and farcical production will be Porky Pig popping up on the screen and saying “Tha .. Tha … Tha …That’s all folks!”

So, there ‘tis.

To Larry from a lowly liberal to help salve his wounded pride.

“Call me Mr. Guilty, Mr. Guilty that’s my name
Without a doubt it’s all my fault, I’m the one to blame
You say that you’re unhappy, I do believe it’s true
Cause I’m the one, the no good bum
That did it all to you

I’m so sorry, sorry as a man can be
I’m so guilty, this is my a—-pol—-o—gy
You have been a victim, a pawn in my cruel game
I done you wrong, and I strung you along
And now I’m full of shame
    To compensate for damage done
Well there’s not much I can do
So I sit and drink and I sit and think
Of all I done to you

You’re a martyr, taking all this time
I’m a villain, guilty of a dreadful crime,

All your tears and logic, you know they finally made me see
I deserve the shame, I deserve the blame
    The guilt belongs to me.

    Yes, you’re innocent
You’re as pure as driven snow
You’ve been had, I’m a cad, at least at last I know”

You should have said sleazy liberal. You people are trash. It’s reported that a leftist cock sucker tried to murder justice Kavanaha. You assholes are worse than the January 6 patriots

      • Ben

It’s so sad to see you so upset at your fellow citizens just for their opinions. You are vey emotional. Quite hostile too. .

        • Arron

That’s a two way street. Pro life people are being threatened by baby killers. Perhaps they will fuck up and come for me. It’s interesting that chucky scumbag and his commie party is laughing at the people coming after the scotus. What’s it going to take to get you people settled down? Giving in to communism or kicking your asses. ? I chose the first choice if you people keep trying to make us follow what we don’t believe in.

The ONLY REASON PIGNOSI WAS NEVER CALLED TO TESTIFY WAS BECAUSE 👉SHE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE JAN 6 Break In!👈. We watched the many different video footages shot that day during and after the break in. There were muscular men dressed all in black with masks and black baseball caps so no one could see their faces nor hair color, that expediently ran inside and up to Pelosi’s office and left with her computer and office files, down the stairs and out the door! We counted two men in black but could have been three — all going upstairs and entering the Office areas! These were NO VISITORS BUT PROFESSIONALS WHO MOVED FAST AND SMOOTH AND LEFT NO TRACE THEY WERE THERE. Why did they go to Pelosi’s office? Who sent them? Pelosi herself to get files and her computer so there was nothing to connect her to this event!

HOWEVER, the worst thing that happened that day was when a D.C. policeman SHOT AND KILLED ASHLEY BABBITT, an ex-Military woman who was just standing watching things and not making any kind of aggressive move to make someone shoot her! WE KNOW BECAUSE A LIVE CAMERA WAS FILMING HER AND WE WATCHED HER GET SHOT AND SLUMP TO THE GROUND!!! I screamed, “SHE’S BEEN SHOT!” as Ashley slid down. THIS KILLING IS ON NANCY PELOSI’S SHOULDERS AND I SINCERELY HOPE ASHLEY’S SPIRIT HAUNTS THE CRAP OUT OF PELOSI’S Soul!

THERE ARE TOO MANY COINCIDENCES that point directly to Nancy Pelosi’s mega participation in ORCHESTRATING the Jan 6 Break In. The biggest reason she orchestrated that event WAS TO GIVE HER ANOTHER REASON TO TRY TO IMPEACH DJT! Yes, Pelosi loathed DJT and wanted him out of her way so she could pull her power plays to destroy OUR NATION!

This ridiculous filming attempt to try to make Conservatives look bad is just a COVER UP FOR PELOSI SO NO ONE WILL TRACE HER ACTIONS PRIOR TO AND AFTER THE BREAK IN. She is your typical clueless democrat who thinks they are smarter than anyone else, but this airing of the farsical so called documentary is NOT GOING TO COVER UP PELOSI’S part in the Break In and it sure isn’t going to whisk away the blame nor responsibility falling on Nancy’s shoulders for Ashley Babbitt’s death!

It will, however, REMIND US ALL OF HOW ARROGANT AND NASTY SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE REALLY IS AND THAT EVEN SHE CAN’T ESCAPE K A R M A FOR HER EGOCENTRIC ACTIONS! Believe me, the Devil has a seat with her name on it that sits inside a red hot volcano and he cannot wait for her to be thrown into his realm!

My guess is that arrogant excuse of a documentary will Peter out way before the 6th day and people will only think of HOW DESPERATE PELOSI AND HER DELUDED DEMOCRATS REALLY ARE AS MORE AND MORE REPUBLICANS ARE ELECTED TO DEMOCRAT SEATS!!

Ben .AKA Beven Nation. Confession is good for the soul … as long as it is sincere. But me thinks you are spoofing me .. lol

    • Ben

Ben, aka Bevan Nation? Spoofing you has a more modern meaning in today’s world, old man :>)

  3. Americafirst

I won’t be watching any damned J6 scam! I think all of us need to start demanding the arrest of that committee, Nancy Pelosi, Barak Obama and the dem’s in Congress along with the Rino’s. All they are doing is things for themselves, not us. Then they take OUR tax money for their idiotic stupidity. They are not lawmaking, they are lawbreakers. I have had it with all of them! This idiocy has got to stop!

A democrat in Pennsylvania was convicted for stuffing ballot boxes. Yes. The democrats are cheating bastards

  5. Ben

A Trumplicant in Chicago, convicted of a hate crime is running to unseat an openly gay candidate. Yes, Republicants are racist hate-mongering homophobes.

    It’s called Benlogic

    • Boyd

I wish the Republican good luck on playing smear the queer. Sorry about Ben feeling unloved and unwanted. But he would be welcome in the Republican Party. Just don’t be grooming kids.

    • larry Horist

Bad Ben … You dig out one kook candidate and apply it to all Republicans. You would have done well working for Joseph Goebbels. You have the technique down pat.

  6. larry Horist

Bad Ben. I am glad you qualified it as “Benlogic” since it has nothing in common with real logic. Just another leftie living in his virtual world.

    • Ben

And yet objective Lame Larry has no issue with the logic of Fake Ben claiming Democrats are cheating bastards by extension of one guy who paid off voting officials mostly in local judicial races….. Yeah, just another fake Republican rightie, real Trumplicant sycophant broad brushing anyone with different opinions with your blind hatred.

Opiniated generalizations and acceptance of such since it fits your political paradigm are stupid, good for you to call mine out. Now, call your own.

      • Ben

Fake Ben? You think that I don’t know my name?

  7. Ben

Fake Ben: no, I think PBP allows multiple instances of the same name. They have issues with names, not you. You just have issues :>)

    • Ben

Yes. My issues are with liberals who think they can walk on us. Let’s put it this way. Don’t tread on us. We bite.

      • Ben

Just like the swastika was first used by Buddhists was later co-opted by Hitler and today has a completely different symbolism, the “don’t tread on me” coinage from the revolution, has long been trampled. The current version being co-opted by extremists, anti-immigration, and racist organizations is based on the yellow Gadsden Flag. Racists constantly search for new coded messages. Today, they highlight Pepe the Frog, also seen on 1/6 everywhere, as a strange symbol of White Nationalism. It’s their new secret message saying “I’m with you.” Mr. Gadsden, a SC politician, revolutionary soldier, slave owner, and one of the largest slave sellers in the United States. A true believer, a major profiteer from the bondage and selling of slaves, he built the Gadsden Wharf in Charleston, where over 40% of American black landed to start their slavery in America and Gadsden made a buck on every “buck” sold on his wharf. Don’t get me wrong, he was also a patriot who never fled Charleston and his subsequent jailing by the British affected his health greatly. But this bastard had little regard for enslaving other human beings. The snake itself was the first American Meme, developed by Ben Franklin.

The flag seems to follow Godwin’s Law although the inventor’s background probably has little to do with that. The flag was buried after the revolution. Then, the KKK and other racists used the flag. It came and left with the Navy and other places. In the past decade or so, the flag reemerged with the Tea Party. Today, the flag has been co-opted by right-wing extremists as a sign of individual freedoms and personal liberty. It was all over the 1/6 Insurrection often used in conjunction with much more strident racist signs and symbols. Libertarians like it too, they use it over their rainbow flags. Preparators of one of the Vegas Mass Murders draped it over a dead cop.

So yeah, today “don’t tred on me” because you threaten that you bite, really kinda sucks.

        • Herb

When Ben runs out of so called logic it’s always back to the race card. And another interesting report is that the democrats in congress blocked the bill to protect scotus justices. They are paving the way to have them killed so goofy joe can replace them with commie judges. That’s why people in America needs guns But don’t worry. Us patriots will protect them. So you Marxist shit heads had better stand down

          • Ben

I didn’t bring up the flag that’s been co-opted by the KKK, white supremacists, and 1/6 insurrectionists. I just responded in kind.

Blocked the bill? The vote is next week.

Why would you call us Marxists? What does that even mean?

And now, I will not stand down. I know you need your guns. You can threaten all you want, but hey, it’s an anonymous web site so I am l sending you a signal, Braveheart style, in response. You can kiss it too.

Wow, I just smoked herb with that post and now I am hungry.

What a bunch on angry, knicker knotted pantywaists.

          • larry Horist

If you do not even know what Marxism is, then you should stand down. You are not intellectually equipped to participate. Maybe that is why you throw out all those childish insults.

          • ben

I should “stand down?” How Trumplicant topical you are this morning.

Given the misplaced intensity of your vapid response, I am sorry you got upset, and became defensive because you did not comprehend what I was attempting to say. Or maybe if you don’t comprehend the language that well, you should stand down from an ignorant response.

Herb called me a Marxist, not exactly a childish name. I did not call him a childish name, I did make fun of his same and I do call others childish names like I call you Lame Larry when you childishly call me “Bad Ben.” You also have some paranoia about Bevan Nation being Ben but that’s your baggage :>)

I honestly don’t know what a Marxist is which is why I am pretty sure I am not one. But, to add clarity for the unclear, I was asking Herb what does it mean, for Herb, to call Democrats, Marxists? I mean I don’t know a single Marxist Democrat. I know of no communist Democrats. I do know some Progressive Socialist Democrats which Trumplicants use to brand the entire 30% of the nation as either Communists, of which there are less than 10K in the entire US, and they are not Democrats.

You seem energized on the topic of name-calling, or perhaps better defined as “free speech” around here. So why do you not get energized by citizens knowingly falsely branding 30% of the nation as communists or marxists, without a valid explanation? Guess you can overlook that just like you overlook Trump’s peccadillos because he got you what you want while spending the nation into inflation by printing more money that any US President has ever printed before.

You treat our democracy like a ten-dollar whore, you don’t care if it’s pretty as long as it gets the job done for you. Adult enough?

20,000,000 watched the 1.6.2022 Insurrection Investigation
3,000,000 watched FOX. to spend the time hearing why Hannity, Ingram, and Tucker explain why this culture must be cancelled.

    Ironic, ain’t it.

    • larry Horist

Frank …What did you expect with all the hype and the major networks putting it on in primetime. You will notice that in my commentary, I predicted that the first session would get big ratings — and that is not even big. I am actually surprised that it was not a larger audience. That means only 6 percent of the public was tuned in. 20 million viewers is not likely to put it into the top 50 or 100 top watched tv programs. The past 11 Super Bowls exceeded more than 100 million viewers. As did the last episode of M.A.S.H. Back in the 1966, the Beverly Hillbillies reached more than 20 million households — as have the more popular tv shows for the past 50 years — and that was a much higher percent of the population in those days. The 2016 presidential debate had 84 million viewers. i would say that 20 million is a huge sign of public disinterest. If I were Pelosi, I would see that rating as very bad news for her election years strategy.

      • frank stetson

At last, you gots me dead to right. You are right, nicely done, and no snark even though it looks like I may have deserved a little —- did you even look? — snark volley-return given my favorite laments round here. As you say, 20M is chump change, Biden did 38M for the sotu which I passed on given they are all pretty much the same. The only consolation for me is Foxes prime time only garnered it’s usual fare, again, having watching some, seems amazing too given how such whining could only be tolerated for a few minutes. All they did for most of the affair, having opted not to cover, was to cover how they opted not to cover, rinse, repeat…….

As to the rest, meh. Maybe you’re right, you certainly are guessing. I believe it’s the evidence that counts to history, not the audience size. Kick off at 10am on Monday is a slow draw already. Everyone taking time off after your favorite, Morning Joe. At least you seem to watch a lot :>) To me, only a few tidbits were worth the watch:

        – “Donald Trump was at the center of this conspiracy, and ultimately, Donald Trump, the president of the United States, spurred a mob of domestic enemies of the Constitution to march down the Capitol and subvert American democracy,” Fuck, that’s a big nut to crack, I was really hoping for a “lesser charge.” Oh boy, here we go.

Cheney added: “Over multiple months, Donald Trump oversaw and coordinated a sophisticated seven-part plan to overturn the presidential election and prevent the transfer of presidential power,” Cheney said. “In our hearings, you will see evidence of each element of this plan.” Another big nut to crack and good luck firmly tying Donald Trump to it.

They set a high hurdle for themselves

        As to support:
        – the seditious conspirators meeting the night before, on tape
        – 16 are charged with seditious conspiracy, three said they did it, they pleaded guilty already
        – the seditious conspirators starting the breach BEFORE the rally crowd started marching, on tape
        – Ivanka saying Barr was right, on tape, The Big Lie is a lie, no fraud.
        – Kushner blaming people as whiners, by whining, that will never get old
        – Scott Perry, and other Trumplicants, asked the President for parting-office pardons indication some level of guilt assessment on a personal level.

If this stuff keeps coming up, I am hopeful the majority of Americans will agree this was more than what you see at an average rock concert. Whatever happened was planned, prepared-for, seems to be The Proud Boys as tip of the spear and unknowing useful-idiot rally-goers as the shaft to create the appropriate confusion and chaos required by The Proud Boys and Oath Keepers after the initial breach to complete their mission to Stop the Steal by Force. I think they established that. Can they prove their opening salvo tying Trump in? Well, if they can’t, our ever-shrinking chances at the polls will become nonexistent. After two impeachments that couldn’t go the distance, a third bite at the apple better bear fruit or, time to pray we are still veto-able from the White House :>0

Bottom line, you are right, I should have looked, but not 100% on board with your future outcomes. But, for both of us, I hope the facts lead us to the same conclusion. That would be nice.
