
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Patel clarifies what happened on January 6</h3>



<p>FBI Director Kash Patel has issued a stunning clarification about the role of federal agents at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. According to Patel, 274 plainclothes FBI agents were present during the unrest, but they were not deployed in any standard investigative capacity. Instead, he said they were ordered into the crowd after the Metropolitan Police declared the situation a riot. Patel admitted this was improper and directly contradicted the bureau’s own guidelines.</p>



<p>“Agents were sent into a crowd control mission after the riot was declared by Metro Police – something that goes against FBI standards,” Patel told Fox News Digital. “This was the failure of a corrupt leadership that lied to Congress and to the American people about what really happened.”</p>



<p>Patel stressed that the decision to put agents into such a role was not only a violation of policy but also a betrayal of the public’s trust. He said agents themselves were frustrated by being sent into a chaotic and dangerous situation for which they were not trained.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">The size and scope of FBI involvement</h3>



<p>The figure of 274 agents is not small, and its revelation has shaken public confidence. That number included not only personnel who were in the crowd at the Capitol but also those responding to related threats, such as the pipe bombs discovered near the Republican and Democratic National Committee headquarters the night before.</p>



<p>Patel emphasized that the decision to send agents into the fray was hidden from lawmakers and the public. “Thanks to agents coming forward, we are now uncovering the truth. We are fully committed to transparency, and justice and accountability continues with this FBI,” he said.</p>



<p>Although the Justice Department’s inspector general insisted in a 2022 report that there were no undercover FBI employees in the protest crowds, the report admitted that 26 confidential human sources were present, with four of them actually entering the Capitol building. This revelation highlights how the bureau’s leadership played word games, using terms like “plainclothes” versus “undercover” to blur the truth.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Wray’s testimony under scrutiny</h3>



<p>Former FBI Director Christopher Wray has been accused of misleading Congress about these facts. In November 2023 testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, Wray said, “If you are asking if the violence at the Capitol was part of some operation orchestrated by FBI sources or agents, the answer is no.” Yet he refused to provide clear answers about how many agents or informants were embedded in the crowd.</p>



<p>Patel said this kind of language was intentionally evasive. “Why it took a ton of time and questioning in Congress for the director to get that point is what I’m trying to eliminate from the FBI,” Patel explained. “If Congress asks you a question under oath, whether or not there were sources in or around Jan. 6th at the Capitol, you as the director of the FBI need to know that and not deflect and give a D.C. answer.”</p>



<p>To many, Patel’s remarks confirm that Wray deliberately stonewalled Congress. What was presented as a denial of involvement now looks more like a carefully constructed lie meant to obscure the scope of FBI operations that day.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Trump demands accountability</h3>



<p>President Donald Trump reacted furiously to the revelation. In a Truth Social post, he wrote, “It was just revealed that the FBI had secretly placed, against all Rules, Regulations, Protocols, and Standards, 274 FBI Agents into the Crowd just prior to, and during, the January 6th Hoax.” He continued, “This is different from what Director Christopher Wray stated, over and over again! That’s right, as it now turns out, FBI Agents were at, and in, the January 6th Protest, probably acting as Agitators and Insurrectionists, but certainly not as ‘Law Enforcement Officials.’”</p>



<p>Trump demanded to know the identity and purpose of each of the agents. He also stressed the injustice faced by his supporters who were charged and jailed for their presence at the Capitol. “Many Great American Patriots were made to pay a very big price only for the love of their Country,” Trump said. He has since pardoned or commuted the sentences of those prosecuted for involvement in the events of that day.</p>



<p>Trump also tied this scandal to a broader pattern of corruption in FBI leadership, reminding Americans of both James Comey and Christopher Wray. “Christopher Wray, the then Director of the FBI, has some major explaining to do. That’s two in a row, Comey and Wray, who got caught LYING, with our Great Country at stake. We can never let this happen to America again!”</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">A deeper weaponization of the FBI</h3>



<p>The involvement of nearly 300 agents in plainclothes raises fundamental questions. Was the FBI merely responding to a crisis, or was the presence of these agents part of a broader political operation aimed at Donald Trump and his supporters? Critics point out that these revelations fit into a long pattern of the bureau being weaponized under Democratic leadership.</p>



<p>Rep. Barry Loudermilk, who leads a new House subcommittee investigating January 6, raised the most troubling question. “With that many paid informants being in the crowd, we want to know how many were in the crowd, how many were in the building, but I also want to know, were they paid to inform or instigate?” he asked.</p>



<p>The inspector general’s report insists that FBI informants were not permitted to break laws or incite the crowd, but the sheer presence of so many government agents in a protest that turned violent suggests a sinister level of involvement.</p>



<p>Kash Patel’s admission confirms that the FBI’s leadership lied to Congress and to the American people about the scope of its involvement on January 6. Hundreds of plainclothes agents were sent into the chaos, and the truth was hidden through misleading testimony and bureaucratic doublespeak. This is not simply mismanagement. It is evidence of a weaponized FBI, operating as a political tool against the sitting president and his supporters.</p>



<p>The consequences were severe. Patriots who loved their country were criminalized, while those in power covered up the real story. As Trump said, “We can never let this happen to America again.”</p>

<p>Sounds a bit like something pre-planned to me &#8211; like not having enough Capitol Police on hand, like the doors to the Capitol magically opening, like a whole lot of the coincidences that happened. And if you really REALLY look hard at the videos, you might be like me and see a rowdy crowd, but NOT a riot.</p>
