Most of the Democratic Party leadership and the radical left-wing establishment are on an obsessive 24/7 endless loop in opposition to the military action in Iran. There can be only two possible reasons. Either they affirmatively want the Iran regime to survive and continue their quest for “the bomb” and its campaign of terror against Israel, the United States, and most of the civilized world … OR they hate Trump so much that that are willing to throw the security of the United State and allies under the bus to demonize him – and to weaken him and the GOP politically in order to gain power in the midterm elections.

In criticizing the military effort, Democrats are lying on many fronts – and they ignore and even deny Iran’s long history of deadly terrorism on a massive scale. The regime in Tehran has been widely recognized as the world’s number one exporter of terrorism – a fact that even Democrats conceded until recently. Now they drop that issue from their vocabulary. In fact, they claim that Iran was not – and is not – an imminent threat to the United States. Ironically, Iran proudly boasts it is—and always will be. That is the substance of its “Death to America” mantra. It is a major component of their national policy.

The left-wing news media are in constant criticism of the military. They talk about the cost of oil as a catastrophe – which it is not. They repeatedly bring up military lives and injuries – which are remarkably low. (For the record, as a person who lost a marine grandson in Afghanistan, I do not make light of the human cost of wars. But it is one of the unfortunate consequences of war.) They repeatedly replay the loss of the school children in an inadvertent hit on a school – terrible outcome due to the fog of war. (My grandson was killed by “friendly fire.” Shit happens.)

Democrats claim that the attack on Iran is likely to expand into a larger conflict – even a third world war. At the same time, they say Trump took action without the participation of allied nations other than Israel. So, which is it? Do Democrats not want more nations involved or do they? Their only consistency is criticism.

Democrats take up Iran’s claim that its only interest in atomic energy is for peaceful purposes – even as all the evidence suggests otherwise. They falsely claim that the Iran deal entered into by President Obama prevented Iran from every getting nuclear weapons. They are lying. Former Ambassador Michael McFaul was on MS NOW saying correctly that the agreement prevented Iron from building nuclear weapons only for 10 years – and Iran was secretly violating even that agreement before the ink was dry.

Iran never stopped enriching uranium to weapon grade levels. Iran, itself, said they had sufficient enriched uranium to build 10 bombs within weeks. It was a blunder on their part. Apparently, Iran’s leaders assumed the revelation would coax the Trump administration to rush into a deal. Instead, it established the pretext for the war.

The Democrat talking points, sound disturbingly similar to Iran’s propaganda. They are merely parroting the line from Tehran. According to Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, his is opposition to the war is based on three points – that (1) America was pressured into the war by Israel, (2) Iran is not, and never was, an imminent threat to the United States and (3) that negotiations were progressing in a positive manner and Iran was negotiating in good faith. Sound familiar?

Amazingly, the left-wing establishment is still proposing negotiation as the better way. Former National Security Advisor under President Biden, Jake Sullivan, was on “Morning Joe” selling the failed negotiations approach. His strategy is to negotiate the nuclear issue only. As a tradeoff, the United States would ease up on sanctions. The buildup of conventional weapons and the terrorism issue would be left to future separate negotiations. In other words, go back to where we were under Biden but with fewer sanctions. The Sullivan approach would also re-establish Russian influence in the Middle East via Iran.

At the same time Democrats are propagandizing in support of Iran, they are refusing to fund the most fundamental and critical services of the federal government – national security. Again, in pursuit of narrow partisan issues, congressional Democrats are holding up funding for the FBI, the CIA, ICE, TSA, Secret Service, etc. These are services that are especially critical in a time of military conflict. Whether they agree with the war or not, undermining the entire American security community is tantamount to sabotage.

Democrats criticize the cost of the war even though it is one of the least costly and most efficient military actions in modern times. But Democrats will say anything – tell any lie – to misinform the public.

Democrats are working overtime to create public opposition and hostility to the war effort. Because it seems inconceivable that any American would put narrow partisan interests — and an irrational hatred for Trump – ahead of the security and safety of the American people, many accept the Democrats’ false narratives and propaganda at face value.

Democrats are using every opportunity available to them to give aid, comfort, and encouragement to the despotic regime in Tehran. They are actively working to keep the current regime in power by ending the war short of victory – and to kick the can down the road on the nuclear issue and re-establish Iran’s ability to rebuild its military and rain terror on the world – especially the United States.

One of the clear signs that Iran is losing the war is their effort to close the Straits of Hormuz. It does create temporarily higher gas prices in America. But it hurts other nations even more – and especially Iran’s supposed ally China. Iran’s leaders are only willing to do that out of desperation.

Is not 47 years of being sucker punched by the Iranian regime enough – 47 years of disruption and death — enough. Yet, Democrats – out of perceived narrow partisan political interests are willing to sell out not only America’s national security but the security of the civilized world.

Iran is not winning the war – and cannot. In fact, it is losing more and more every day. Yes, they still have the abilities of a wounded animal. But that will end if America, Israel, allies .and partners in the region follow through.

The United States should take up the goal of 80 percent of the Iranian people, who chant “Death to the Regime!” The only chance Iran has in remaining a viable terrorist nation, is the hope that Democrats and the left-wing domestic establishment will mount sufficient public pressure to force a legislative end to the war – a precipitous pullout reminiscent of the surrender in Afghanistan. And we know how that worked out.

Whether it is intentional or Democrats see it as a necessary consequence of a larger anti-Trump political strategy, the effect is the same. Democrats are supporting the Iranian regime, and the Iranian regime is supporting the Democrats partisan political ambitions.

I am not talking about the millions of American citizens who call themselves Democrats, or even all of the Democrat political leadership. But I am calling out the left-wing establishment that currently has dominance in the Party and controls a significant portion of the news and entertainment media. I am calling out those in the Democratic Party who see pursuit of power at any cost as their foundational mission. But this is a case in which the cost is too high.

So, there. Tis.

Only One Reason Democrats Oppose the War in Iran … Trump
