Obama Official Admits Climate Change Data was Cooked

<p class&equals;"MsoNormal" style&equals;"text-align&colon; left&semi;" align&equals;"center">Steve Koonin&comma; the former Energy Department Undersecretary&comma; admitted that the former administration manipulated &ldquo&semi;climate change&rdquo&semi; to influence public opinion to support political initiatives&period; <span style&equals;"mso-spacerun&colon; yes&semi;">&nbsp&semi;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal">&ldquo&semi;What you saw coming out of the press releases about climate data&comma; climate analysis&comma; was&comma; I&rsquo&semi;d say&comma; misleading&comma; sometimes just wrong&comma;&rdquo&semi; said Koonin to <em style&equals;"mso-bidi-font-style&colon; normal&semi;">The Wall Street Journal<&sol;em> on Monday&period; &nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal">Koonin gives an example&period; The National Climate Assessment in 2014 falsely reported that hurricane activity had increased from 1980&comma; blaming &ldquo&semi;global warming&period;&rdquo&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal">&ldquo&semi;What they forgot to tell you&comma; and you don&rsquo&semi;t know until you read all the way into the fine print is that it actually decreased in the decades before that&comma;&rdquo&semi; said Koonin&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal">The theory of &ldquo&semi;climate change&rdquo&semi; has been argued for years&period; Environmentalists have been on a mission to address this &ldquo&semi;problem&rdquo&semi; at all costs&period; Obama&rsquo&semi;s administration slapped strict regulations on several industries to limit carbon emissions in an effort to combat global warming&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal">However&comma; the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reported that there &ldquo&semi;is limited evidence of changes in extremes associated with other climate variables since the mid-20th century&rdquo&semi; and the current data shows &ldquo&semi;no significant observed trends in global tropical cyclone frequency over the past century&period;&rdquo&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal">Obama&rsquo&semi;s press officials worked with National Oceanic Administration &lpar;NOAA&rpar; and NASA to mislead the public with manipulated data&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal">Nonetheless&comma; Koonin believes climate change is real&comma; but there isn&rsquo&semi;t enough evidence about it to impact policy&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal">&ldquo&semi;Climate change is real and affected by human activity&comma; writes a former top science official of the Obama administration&period; But we are very far from having the knowledge needed to make good policy&comma;&rdquo&semi; writes <em style&equals;"mso-bidi-font-style&colon; normal&semi;">The Wall Street Journal<&sol;em>&period; &ldquo&semi;Our best climate models still fail to explain the actual climate data&period;&rdquo&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal">Koonin also condemned NASA and NOAA&rsquo&semi;s actions because &ldquo&semi;&ldquo&semi;public opinion is formed by the data that is formed from those organizations and appears in newspapers&period;&rdquo&semi;<br style&equals;"mso-special-character&colon; line-break&semi;" &sol;> <&excl;--&lbrack;endif&rsqb;--><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal">&ldquo&semi;You&rsquo&semi;re a scientist and it is your responsibility to put the facts on the table&comma;&rdquo&semi; said Koonin&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal">A whistleblower at NOAA claimed that agency scientists rushed a release of a global warming study to influence policymakers&period; Now the NOAA is being looked at closely&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal">Lamar Smith&comma; Texas Republican Rep&period; and the committee&rsquo&semi;s chairman&comma; will be asking the NOAA to provide documents included in a subpoena from 2015 in reference to data tampering&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal"><strong>Author&rsquo&semi;s note&colon;<&sol;strong> How much more evidence do we need to prove these agencies have been &ldquo&semi;adjusting&rdquo&semi; records to perpetuate this theory of climate change&quest; Like Koonin points out there isn&rsquo&semi;t enough evidence to prove global warming&comma; so policy shouldn&rsquo&semi;t be drafted to fight it&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"MsoNormal"><strong>Editor&&num;8217&semi;s note&colon;<&sol;strong> &nbsp&semi;When I worked with the CIA many years ago&comma; I attended a briefing from the part of the agency that does propaganda in foreign countries&period; Their rules were strict and the oversight was close&comma; because they were not allowed do any propaganda that might possibly influence Americans&period; &nbsp&semi;Present day&comma; Obama turns a federal agency into his own propaganda tool&comma; designed to influence Americans&period; We are fortunate the new EPA chief is actually anti-EPA in its Obama Administration form&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
