
<p>Mayor Eric Adams, of New York, is one of the better Democrat big-city mayors. ; He mostly gets it right with his tough-on-crime policies – unlike his progressive predecessor Bill de Blasio. ; But he is a partisan Democrat, and that may be the reason for his factually incorrect statements during a recent appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”</p>



<p>In drawing attention to the number of murders in America’s major cities – and especially in the black and brown neighborhoods – Adams complained about the number of illegal guns on the streets and the lack of enforcement from prosecutors and judges – who put the crooks back on the streets.</p>



<p>So far, so good. ; But then he said something that it totally untrue. ; He credited President Biden as the first President to draw attention to the high murder rate in America’s cities – especially among black and brown citizens. ; ;</p>



<p>Whoa! ; Perhaps Adams only hears from Democrats or only watches MSNBC’s biased political narratives. ; I hate to think he is simply engaging in partisan political lying – selling the Democrats’ hypocrisy on race. ; I will give him the benefit of the doubt. ; Adams would have been wrong even if he said that Biden is the first DEMOCRAT President to address the issues in the nation’s segregated communities – and even that would be dubious. ; ;</p>



<p>President Clinton was credited with anti-crime legislation that was designed to get criminals off the streets and into prisons. ; The legislation was guided through Congress by the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Senator Joe Biden. ; That legislation is now viewed with contempt by progressive Democrats, who have launched a new era of coddling criminals and ignoring the impact on the streets – ergo the crime crisis we see today.</p>



<p>We conservative Republicans have been calling attention to the crime and the murder rate in the black and brown communities for decades. ; Presidents Reagan and Trump both implemented policies to address the high crime in urban areas. ; The Republican leadership in Washington has been constantly critical of how Democrats ignore the problem in their own backyards for generations.</p>



<p>This has been a common subject on more objective and more conservative outlets, such as FOX News, OAN, and Newsmax. ; I have personally pointed out the Democrats’ culpability in the problem – and they are sweeping it under the rug with the help of a compliant news media.</p>



<p>Not until crime in the cities reached today’s crisis level have Democrats begun to recognize the problem – while pointing the fingers of blame in every direction but at the Party that is most responsible for the conditions in the segregated ghettoes.</p>



<p>They blame what they call “assault rifles” when, in fact, handguns account for the overwhelming number of murders in the ‘hood.</p>



<p>For obvious reasons, the senseless major mass murders garner immediate prolonged attention – (1) because they are spectacular and gut-wrenching and (2) because they can divert attention from the ongoing high murder rates as part of everyday America ; Most of which do not involve the AK-15.</p>



<p>Over the Memorial Day weekend, 52 people were shot with 10 fatalities in Chicago. ; I spent most of my life in Chicago. ; The grim statistics of shootings and murders by other means have plagued the Windy City’s segregated communities for as long as I can remember</p>



<p>There were tens of thousands of deaths largely ignored by the Democrats in City Hall as well as national Democrat leaders. ; Many of the most powerful Democrat leaders in Washington were members in good standing of the Chicago Democrat Machine, including a President of the United States. Yet, the conditions for black and brown Chicagoans are as bad as ever – arguably worse.</p>



<p>Adams is wrong in saying that others were not sounding the alarm and taking action to address the epidemic of crime in the black and brown ghettoes. ; In terms of crime in the segregated black and brown communities over which they govern, Democrats have been like the three monkeys that do not hear the evil, do not see the evil, and definitely do not speak of the evil on their watch.</p>



<p>Come on, Mayor Adams. ; How about a little credit where credit is due – and maybe a little finger-pointing at those really responsible.</p>
