New Photo Evidence: China has had the Bidens ‘in its back pocket’
Recent revelations have reignited intense scrutiny over President Joe Biden’s past denials of involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s international business dealings. Newly released photographs depict then-Vice President Joe Biden meeting Hunter’s Chinese business partners during an official trip to China in 2013. These images, made public through litigation by the conservative group America First Legal, offer visual proof of Biden’s presence in meetings that have long been dismissed as inconsequential or merely ceremonial.
The Pictures Tell a Different Story
The photos show Joe Biden meeting with Jonathan Li, the CEO of Chinese private equity firm BHR Partners, alongside Hunter Biden. In another image, Biden is seen introducing his son to then-Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao. Additional photos capture Biden interacting with Ming Xue, a managing partner at BHR Partners. These meetings contradict Biden’s repeated public statements, including his 2019 campaign claim, “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”
In one particularly striking image, Hunter Biden is seen introducing his father to Jonathan Li in the lobby of a hotel during their China trip. Hunter later testified to Congress about this encounter, saying, “When we returned from an event to the hotel, there was a rope line, and Jonathan Li was in the lobby of the hotel where I was going to meet him for coffee. In that line, I introduced my dad to Jonathan Li and a friend of his, and they shook hands and I believe probably took a photograph. And then my father went up to his room, and I went to have coffee with Jonathan Li.” This statement raises further questions about the depth of Joe Biden’s involvement and whether these meetings were truly casual and insignificant.
Damning Evidence Against Biden’s Claims
For years, Joe Biden has firmly maintained that he had no knowledge of, nor participation in, Hunter Biden’s international business ventures. However, the release of these images adds weight to claims by Republicans and investigative committees that Hunter leveraged his father’s political influence to secure lucrative deals.
Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s former business partner, previously testified before Congress that Hunter was selling the “illusion of access” to his father. Yet, these photos suggest more than just illusion—they imply direct access facilitated by Joe Biden himself. Archer also revealed that Joe Biden had joined business calls at least 20 times and even wrote letters of recommendation for Jonathan Li’s children. These letters, according to Archer, served as clear signals of Joe Biden’s willingness to assist Hunter’s business partners.
Michael Ding, counsel for America First Legal, stated, “Even while President Biden has pardoned his son, Hunter, for anything and everything ‘he has committed or may have committed or taken part in’ going all the way back to the year 2014, more evidence comes out each day showing how his family leveraged Joe Biden’s even longer career in public office for private gain.” This assertion underscores the growing perception of impropriety surrounding the Biden family’s foreign business connections.
Could Biden Have Been Compromised?
The implications of these meetings go beyond familial ethics and into national security concerns. Did China use these interactions to establish leverage over Joe Biden? Could sensitive policy decisions during Biden’s vice presidency—and even his presidency—have been influenced by these ties?
Critics argue that the Biden family’s business relationships with Chinese executives create a significant vulnerability. These photos are not just snapshots of polite diplomacy; they are potential evidence of influence-peddling that could have compromised U.S. interests.
Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch, commented, “China has the Bidens in its back pocket.” Such statements reflect the growing anxiety over whether these connections had deeper consequences, especially given China’s strategic interest in influencing American leadership.
Biden’s Changing Narrative
The Biden administration and Hunter Biden’s legal team have dismissed these photos as “old news” and “misinterpreted optics.” Hunter Biden’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, insists that these meetings were nothing more than casual introductions and photo opportunities.
“These attacks trying to twist these images into something they are not is just more of the same old tired, misinformation spin from some Republicans who can’t let go of their ridiculous conspiracy theories and baseless accusations,” Lowell said in a statement.
But public trust has already been eroded by years of conflicting narratives. President Biden’s blanket pardon of Hunter earlier this year for federal offenses dating back to 2014 has only fueled suspicions. Critics view the pardon not as compassion from a father, but as a strategic maneuver to shield the Biden family from deeper legal scrutiny.
In an earlier statement, President Biden defended the pardon, saying, “From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted. There has been an effort to break Hunter — who has been five and a half years sober, even in the face of unrelenting attacks and selective prosecution. In trying to break Hunter, they’ve tried to break me — and there’s no reason to believe it will stop here. Enough is enough.”
The Road Ahead
While these photos alone may not serve as definitive proof of corruption or criminal activity, they undeniably cast doubt on Joe Biden’s repeated denials. The House Oversight Committee and other investigative bodies now face mounting pressure to delve deeper into the Biden family’s dealings with China.
At the very least, the American public deserves transparency and accountability. These images represent more than just embarrassing optics—they symbolize the potential erosion of trust in the highest levels of government.
As America First Legal’s Michael Ding summarized, “America First Legal will not stop fighting to uncover the full story of the Biden Family’s corruption.”
The question now is not whether these photos matter, but how much they reveal about the true extent of Biden’s involvement in his son’s business affairs—and whether those connections compromised American interests on the global stage. The truth must come to light, and the stakes could not be higher.
ACZ Editor: Did Xi have Joe Biden in his back pocket? This would explain a lot. Over the last four years, China has built its military, it has stolen technology and it has built anti-American alliances with almost no resistance whatsoever. If you had your biggest rival’s leader under your control, can you think of any other result that would be better than the result that China has achieved in the last four years?
P.S. If Biden was cooperating with China under China’s direction, he would have to have someone in his inner circle to do the communications and to deliver intelligence information, a “handler” if you will. It would need to be someone who had the ability to spend time alone with “The Big Guy.” Could be a close advisor, chief of staff, one of the assistants or even a Secret Service agent. Will the FBI have the common sense and integrity to look for this person?
HMMMM, I do not see the usual fools commenting!
I guess they have a hard time believing the photos.
Nothing to say?
It is one thing to make money as President, But at the expense of the American people?
Every Democrat should be chocking on these photos!
This country is still mad up of 48% FOOLS!
Let the Chinese Balloons fly over their house!
If I am wrong, I will go the rest of the year without a comment!
The usual fools, Darren? And you obviously don’t count yourself as among that group. But this is an opinion commentary space even if Oliver’s article is him saying these are the facts and he would have readers believe it’s all a matter of record and justified.
Meanwhile, Darren it’s true only you and I have commented this far their reasons for it are pure speculation on your part.
Again, we’re back to the thing about people and their opinions. Everyone is free to have their own opinion. It’s when they choice voicing it instead of just thinking it, that’s a gamble for everyone.
Opinions sometimes encounter stiff opposition and
take some hits. Free speech is a two way street. It’s not the easy street of ” my way or the highway” that is common for PBP writer commentary.
That should not be a surprise the surprise is how be become a millionaire what business he had or what did he sell to acquire millions of dollars if it was not a shady deal where did he get so much money from that should be asked
More vitreous expounding on Biden when it dubious any actual crimes and wrong doings will be attributed to him. In under three weeks he will leave Washington, DC and retire from politics. Maybe your juices will cool below the boiling point long enough leave energy for what going to be a rough ride for those covering the Trump White House.
So, the cash Trump’s kids received while their Pa was President as I remember was many time greater than any amount anyone named Biden allegedly received from anywhere and anyone. Why didn’t Horist and the gang go after JR, Eric, Blondie For that matter, why not hound Melanie for monetizing her place as First Lady by selling White House picture albums and other personally branded products.
Whatever Biden didn’t do which you all tried your darnedest to convince the DOJ to investigate, Trump actually has perpetrated and more.
We shall see the hypocrisy on the right as Trump will be allowed to slide on real crimes he commits and wil claim presidential immunity. Bogus use of office worse than Biden ever thought possible..
Trump isn’t President yet nor is he a Democrat and still he will show up for Carter’s funeral which will cause unnecessary extra disturbance for the Carter family, friends, and local members of his church.
Trump with his entourage made up of the usual suspects including Musk are a traveling circus act that’s unfitting for the solemnity due the circumstances.
If he is riding the tails of his ex-president status that horse has left the barn. His appearance at Notre Dame’s reopening ceremonies was presumptive. He’s like the pre-teen boy who cried because he was not invited to the birthday party he heard about and wanted to attend because important people were attending.
Jill Biden attended the Ceremony appearing graciously tolerant in an awkward situation.
Does Trump shame people into inviting him to their events? I must have a department tasked with ensuring Trump’s securing an invitation and prominent seating where he won’t be over looked, as if he could crash a party unnoticed. An influx of upto 100 persons would draw attention. When a mean grizzly bear appears at your door and demands his place at the table where will he sit? Any place he wants.
Darren, what “fool” would comment on yesterday’s news versus the fools who find a new picture of the same old stuff to be FOX-worthy and not much else. Four years you have wasted our taxpayer dollars investigating this guy, his entire family, and a few friends. And all you got is the pre-existing charges on Hunter. Now you are pushing for pre-emptive parties by politicizing your witch hunts prepping for your new Dick State to weaponize the DOJ and justice system with your hand-selected hanging judges. On one side, you say the guy is a walking mental case of dementia not able to be convicted of anything due to mental health, on the other, you want to lock him up even if he’s in the casket.
Fools here claim he’s robbing us blind when he does not have a lot of money for a guy with his career. Weird logic.
They say he’s in the pocket of the Chinese but all they have is a PR photo op, one step above a selfie.
And they avoid all the deals Trump has made with China, what even happened to the 200B Trump deal for extra Chinese exports, all talk, nothing happened. As he took the oval last time, he sold 15M of property to Angela Chen, a Chinese linked to intelligence there. Trump has 30% in an office building funded by Chinese state-owned banks. And remember those pesky Ivanka Chinese trade-mark approvals. Hinky business there for sure.
For his first up at the oval office batting box, and at just four of the former president’s hundreds of businesses in just the first two years of his term, it was found that foreign governments funneled $7.8 million to Trump properties. Chinese government-controlled entities alone spent over $5.5 million at three of Trump’s buildings. Saudi Arabia ($615,000), Qatar ($465,000), Kuwait ($303,000) and India ($282,000) rounded up the top five spenders, but countries from across the globe spent money on Trump properties while he lived in the White House. And that’s just four properties and just for two years.
I’m sorry, what are you using a picture of Biden to accuse him of?
Buckle up buttercups, this time he’s going for the gold.
Two years.
