<p>Michael Savage, host of &#8220;The Savage Nation,&#8221; appeared on Tuesday on Newsmax TV&rsquo;s &ldquo;The Steve Malzberg Show,&#8221; where he referred to Black Lives Matter activists as Obama&rsquo;s shock troops and compared them to Hitler&rsquo;s &#8220;Brownshirts.&#8221; ;</p>
<p>&ldquo;The Black Lives Matter movement, and I&rsquo;m going to say it like it is, are Obama&rsquo;s shock troops. They&rsquo;re the Brownshirts that Hitler had in Germany,&rdquo; said Savage to a surprised host. &ldquo;Never forget what Hitler did in the beginning. He used street thugs that he gave uniforms to, brown shirts and ties &ndash; to beat people up with clubs, to intimidate the police, to cause a total takeover of civil society.&rdquo; ;</p>
<p>It&rsquo;s not hard to draw similarities between the two groups. The &ldquo;Brownshirts,&rdquo; or &ldquo;Sturmabteilung&rdquo; (SA) in German, functioned as the Nazi Party&rsquo;s first paramilitary wing. Not only did they protect important Nazis during rallies, they were also known for disrupting the rallies of opposing groups &ndash; something Black Lives Matter has done often. ;</p>
<p>The Brownshirts played a key role in Hitler&rsquo;s rise to power, but it&rsquo;s hard to tell exactly who Black Lives Matter supports, as they have a habit of attacking the only candidate proclaiming to help them. ;</p>
