
<p>For more than a week, the brutal murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska on a train in Charlotte (NC) has caused a nationwide outrage. Conservatives in particular are pointing to the root cause of the crime problem – the criminal-friendly policies of Democrats who run blue cities. Zarutska is thus a victim not only of the thug who slashed her dead on the train but of the liberal-infested legal machinery that lets these walking death machines loose on the streets.</p>



<p>The unprovoked killing of 23-year-old Zarutska, a refugee from Ukraine, was seen by the country and the world as the surveillance video from the train became public. The criminal, 34-year-old Decarlos Dejuan Brown Jr., is seen sitting behind her on the bus while she is busy playing with her phone and unaware of what is about to come. The next moment, Brown stands up and slashes her with a knife before walking out of the train. None of the fellow passengers bothered to help or even acted as if they just saw a murder right next to them.</p>



<p>While Zarutska’s killing is shocking, the setting and background are familiar: another dangerous culprit with a long criminal record of well over a dozen serious crimes, including armed robbery and assault on his sister, was walking free. His arrest earlier this year for misusing the emergency 911 number again resulted in an easy release by Magistrate Judge Teresa Stokes, who took the thug’s word that he would show up for the court hearing. Despite previous imprisonment and a dangerous criminal record along with reported mental illness (schizophrenia), the judge let him walk free. The result is Zarutska’s killing that appears nothing less than a scene straight out of a slasher horror movie.</p>



<p>Seeing a young woman killed so savagely on a train, in a blue city as always and by a lifelong criminal, came as the boiling point of conservative disgust at the crime-friendly policies of liberals. The most followed conservatives and national leadership reacted to the news of Zarutska’s killing by demanding strict action against the culprit. President Trump called for a speedy trial and death penalty for Brown.</p>

<p>Conservatives widely agreed with President Trump and Nick Sortor even asked for publicly executing the savage in Downtown Charlotte so that the Democrats are not able to cut him loose again.</p>

<p>Several conservatives have raised the point that leftist media is acting politically by not mentioning the shocking killing of a white woman by a black man in the racial context. Matt Walsh slammed media’s narrative of opposing any mention of race in the story when the same talking heads called George Floyd’s death a racist crime from the first moment of the incident.</p>

<p>Walsh also touched on the left’s habitual resort to blame mental health issues in defense of their favored criminals. As reported in <em>Newsweek</em> (September 9), Brown is being held at the Mecklenburg County Jail without bond and a judge has ordered a competency evaluation for him to decide whether he is mentally well enough to stand trial.</p>



<p>It is also interesting to note that the left doesn’t blame the easy availability of knives when they are used as weapons to kill people unlike guns where they ignore mental health and blame the availability of the weapon.</p>
