Marco Rubio Earns South Carolina Gov. Endorsement

<p>On Wednesday evening&comma; South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley officially announced her endorsement of Marco Rubio&period; The candidate has recently grown in popularity within the Republican party as he is seen as the best contender to go against Donald Trump and Ted Cruz&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Although Haley&rsquo&semi;s endorsement may not hold much weight&comma; since it didn&rsquo&semi;t help Mitt Romney&rsquo&semi;s campaign in 2012&comma; it still signifies the steady rise of Rubio&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&ldquo&semi;I wanted somebody with fight&period; I wanted somebody with passion&period; I wanted somebody that had conviction to do the right thing&comma; but I wanted somebody humble enough that remembers that you work for all the people&comma;&rdquo&semi; Haley told the crowd at a recent rally&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The announcement was made as all of the Republican candidates prepare for the South Carolina vote on Saturday night&period; Ted Cruz has launched aggressive marketing in the state to try to take down his opponents&comma; highlight both Trump&rsquo&semi;s former pro-choice stance and Rubio&rsquo&semi;s immigration policy&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Although Trump currently leads the polls in South Carolina&comma; the most recent national poll shows that Cruz has a slight advantage over Trump&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Editor&&num;8217&semi;s note&colon;<&sol;strong> &nbsp&semi;This is likely worth 5-10 points in the elections&comma; we will see soon&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
