Lisa Page’s Bombshell Testimony: Obama DOJ Ordered FBI to Stand Down on Clinton Emails
The Clinton email scandal of the 2016 election – as well as the shouting masses demanding we ‘lock her up’ – might as well seem like eons ago in this political climate.
However, thanks to newly released congressional transcripts from closed-door interrogations over the course of months, there appears to be evidence of grave mismanagement at the highest level regarding the issue. The Washington Examiner explains,
“Newly released testimony by disgraced FBI attorney Lisa Page makes former U.S. attorney general Loretta Lynch look blatantly dishonest and makes her infamous “tarmac meeting” with former president Bill Clinton look even sleazier than it already had. Specifically, despite sworn assurances to the contrary from Lynch, Page testified that Department of Justice officials repeatedly dissuaded the FBI from building a criminal case against Clinton for “gross negligence” in her handling of classified information.”
This is extremely serious information coming out of the woodwork; and it’s worth noting Lisa Page, as well as others, committed this information to Congress under oath thus it’s as ‘truthful’ a recounting as we’re likely going to get on the matter.
Then FBI director James Comey stirred the masses, arguably into voting for Trump, back in 2016 when he publicly decried Hillary Clinton’s handling of sensitive US information via a private compromised email account as “grossly negligent” but then declared that there were no grounds for prosecution, to cries of outrage.
Now it appears more than possible that that latter ‘decision’ was, in fact, a standing order from the top of the chain thanks to Page’s admissions. Fox News gives a more detailed account of the testimony,
“Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page admitted under questioning from Texas Republican Rep. John Ratcliffe last summer that “the FBI was ordered by the Obama DOJ not to consider charging Hillary Clinton for gross negligence in the handling of classified information,” the congressman alleged in a social media post late Tuesday, citing a newly unearthed transcript of Page’s closed-door testimony.
Page’s testimony was perhaps the most salient evidence yet that the Justice Department improperly interfered with the FBI’s supposedly independent conclusions on Clinton’s criminal culpability, Ratcliffe alleged.
“So let me if I can, I know I’m testing your memory,” Ratcliffe began as he questioned Page under oath, according to a transcript excerpt he posted on Twitter. “But when you say advice you got from the Department, you’re making it sound like it was the Department that told you: You’re not going to charge gross negligence because we’re the prosecutors and we’re telling you we’re not going to —”
Page interrupted: “That is correct,” as Ratcliffe finished his sentence, ” — bring a case based on that.”
Lock Her Up…? Or Him?
The realities of 21st century political capital likely mean President Trump – at least *probably* – won’t once again turn his sights on his formerly defeated opponent; after all, he’s the one currently sitting in the oval office.
But that doesn’t detract at all from the fact that these testimonies highlight substantial deliberate mismanagement at the highest level under the Obama administration; in fact, allegedly under standing orders *from* the Obama administration’s DOJ.
That’s not to say Trump assuredly won’t act. He is the unpredictable Donald Trump after all, and thus it’s entirely possible he’ll see this as an opportunity to refuel his crusade against ‘the swamp’. The President, in fact, has already made remarks on the topic.
Responding to the transcript revelations, Trump on Wednesday tweeted: “The just revealed FBI Agent Lisa Page transcripts make the Obama Justice Department look exactly like it was, a broken and corrupt machine. Hopefully, justice will finally be served. Much more to come!”
Whether Trump – and the now split congress – end up truly moving on this or not the unshakable reality based on these testimonies is there was a concerted effort to snub out a valid investigation regarding national security exclusively for political gain; more specifically to shield candidate Clinton from consequences for actions for which any normal American ‘peasant’ would be rotting in a cell, like some currently are.
Arguably one could simply be glad ‘that side’ lost and move along. But that’s not how bureaucracies work. Whether Trump is there for 4 or 8 years the US bureaucratic machine will continue well on past him; a machine that includes essentially all our supposed defenders of ‘justice’ and criminal investigators.
Not being able to trust that bureaucracy to at least strive towards operational integrity and lack of bias – in fact having proof vital organizations have a culture of the opposite – is an extremely dangerous situation for the American citizen.
After all, one can’t simply ‘lock up’ the FBI and DOJ…
but I was just following orders
You make it sound like Trump is on a one-man agenda to “get” HRC. In reality there are millions of people, like myself, that want to see her, Comey, McCabe, Brennan, Lynch, Strzock, Page, Ohr, Holder, Podesta, Hussein, etc. tried if not hung!
President Obama is the best President in American history. Lisa Page should be in a re-education school for a few years, or until she gets a grasp on reality
Oh David…I think YOU need to get a grasp on reality! Obummer was the WORST president our country has EVER seen…even worse than Jimmie Carter!!
Goodness! I guess it depends on where you stand politically. As for me, as an American Patriot who has strong morals, hates socialism, hates what the social engineers are doing to our children, hates abortion, loves the Bible and our Creator….well, Obama was truly the WORST president we’ve ever had. He was very manipulative and conniving and was working on an agenda that was entirely unAmerican. It is HE who began all this hatred among people groups that we are seeing. It is HE who stirred up liberals to hate Christians and bring them to court over every little thing. And sometimes he did it so subtley that people were fooled. Other times he was quite bold- Like the time he said Christians stubbornly cling to their Bibles and guns. Or the time he vandalized the White House with rainbow lights in an attempt to force feed us something so unacceptable to most Americans.
I didn’t vote for Trump, but neither would I EVER have voted for Hillary. I voted a write-in. But every day I am grateful for President Trump. He has earned MANY, MANY new votes for the coming election.
I agree with William.
You should be combenext on the big stage with a nice awaiting
I agree with Sandy
Could these decisions have been made without the Presidents input? If he did participate how will American’s ever be able to trust our leaders?
We all want these traitors and conspirators to be brought to justice and we don’t care how important they once were. Bill and Hillary, Barack the Devi, Biden, the FBI trash…all of them belong in jail or the hereafter! And that jerk of a Kerry too. Stuff him in a Heinz ketchup bottle!
It appears to be time to enact the “RACKETEER INFLUENCED and CORRUPT ORGANIZATIONS ACT”
A/K/A/ RICO ACT.
It’s very clear The Democrat-Communist-Islamic-Nazi Terrorist Organization, has CROSSED THE LINE.
