
<p>In a memo leaked to Fox News, Police at the Capitol Complex in Washington DC have been ordered to arrest those who violate mask mandates in the building. The order has been directed towards those who work in the building and those who come to visit the building from the public, leaving out members of Congress who refuse the order. Instead, members of Congress who do not comply are to be reported to the House sergeant at arms. ;</p>



<p>The memo was revealed as Republican from Florida Kat Cammack shared a copy of the memo online that she received during a roll call this morning from an unidentified officer. ;</p>



<p>Cammack revealed the document on Twitter, posting that, “In today’s edition of Pelosi’s abuse of power, Capitol Police have been directed to arrest staff and visitors to comply with her mask mandate for vaccinated individuals. For Members, they advise not arresting but “reporting Members to SAA for their failure to comply.”</p>



<p>She continued by speaking with Fox News, saying that, “This is such an overstep of Speaker Pelosi’s authority to basically make our Capitol Police arrest staff members and report on members. It’s absolutely unconscionable that this is where we’re at.”</p>



<p>The memo comes from Nancy Peolsi after the CDC has just reinstated a recommendation for mask mandates in public for both the vaccinated and unvaccinated due to potential spread of Covid variants. The memo directly states that, “Any person who fails to either comply or to leave the premises after being asked to do so would be the subject to an arrest for unlawful entry.”</p>



<p>Cammack continued to note that, “I cannot comply with this tyrannical order. This is the people’s house, not Nancy Pelosi’s house.” She spoke with police officers at the Capitol and reported that they are “very uncomfortable” with the new directive order. ;</p>



<p>Republican Steve Scalise took to Twitter to say that, “To be clear: Pelosi is directing police to arrest vaccinated people who aren’t wearing masks. This isn’t about science &#8211; it’s about power and control.”</p>



<p>Spokesman for Nancy Pelosi, Drew Hammill, told Fox News that, “The speaker of the House does not control the US Capitol Police. We were unaware of the memo until it was reported in the press.”</p>



<p>Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy stated on the matter that, “If you are a Capitol Police officer you got orders… if a vaccinated staffer comes across in the House side without a mask you’re ordered to arrest them, but not on the Senate side. This is not the America we know.”</p>



<p>The order is only directed to the House and does not exist for the side of the Senate.</p>



<p>Pelosi said Kevin McCarthy was “such a moron” after he had made comments about the new CDC guidance saying himself that, “Make no mistake &#8211; The threat of bringing masks back is not a decision based on science, but a decision conjured up by liberal government officials who want to continue to live in a perpetual pandemic state.”</p>



<p>Republican Representative Nancy Mace of South Carolina is already protesting posting a video online of her not wearing a mask. She says, “I had Covid, I’ve had two vaccinations, I’m washing my hands, I’m even wearing my mask inside the chamber, but I’m not going to wear it anywhere else.”</p>



<p>With the posted video, she included the text saying that, “Madam Speaker, your insane power grab is showing. Today I’m not wearing a mask outside of the chamber because I follow science &#8211; not Pelosi. Come and get me.”</p>
