Joe Biden’s Conflict of Interest Confirmed in GOP Report

Senate Republicans this week released an interim report on the massive conflict of interest that occurred while Joe Biden was Vice President and his son, Hunter, worked for Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings.

Obama officials knew Hunter’s job was “problematic” and that it “did interfere in the efficient execution of policy with respect to Ukraine,” reads the report.

In 2015, State Department official George Kent brought forth concerns that Hunter’s job created “counterintelligence and extortion concerns” and was “very awkward for all US officials pushing an anticorruption agenda in Ukraine.” He urged Hunter to resign.

“This investigation has illustrated the extent to which officials within the Obama Administration ignored the glaring warning signs when vice president’s son joined the board of a company owned by a corrupt Ukrainian oligarch,” notes the report’s summary.

The 87-page report also confirms that Hunter and his business partner (Devon Archer) made millions of dollars through a financial relationship with Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky (a corrupt oligarch). Not surprisingly, Vice President Biden was advised not to badmouth Zlochevsky in public.

Lawmakers’ investigation also exposed a number of records from the US Treasury showing “potential criminal activity relating to transactions among and between Hunter Biden, his family, and his associates with Ukrainian, Russian, Kazakh, and Chinese nationals” including human trafficking and prostitution.

Democrats, of course, don’t believe a word of it.

“As the coronavirus death toll climbs and Wisconsinites struggle with joblessness, Ron Johnson (R-WI) has wasted months diverting the Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee away from any oversight of the catastrophically botched federal response to the pandemic,” argues Biden campaign spokesperson Andrew Bates. “Why? To subsidize a foreign attack against the sovereignty of our elections with taxpayer dollars – an attack founded on a long-disproven, hardcore rightwing conspiracy theory that hinges on Senator Johnson himself being corrupt and that the Senator has now explicitly stated he is attempting to exploit to bail out Donald Trump’s re-election campaign.”

In a separate report, Democratic lawmakers claim there is absolutely no evidence suggesting that Joe Biden made any policy decisions to benefit his son. The Dems have also accused Republicans of basing their report on Russian-backed disinformation about the Biden family.

In reality, the GOP report was based on the review of 45,000 pages of Obama Administration records and testimony from American officials. The report contained little information about the Bidens that was not already known.

Everyone knows by now the story of then-Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, who made $50,000 per month working for a Ukrainian energy company despite having no experience in the field. In 2016, Vice President Biden pressured Ukraine into firing its top prosecutor (Viktor Shokin) by withholding $1 billion in aid.

President Trump and Rudy Giuliani claim that Biden wanted Shokin fired because he was investigating Burisma. Biden and the Democrats say he did it because Shokin wasn’t doing enough to root out corruption among Ukrainian politicians.

Author’s Note: This situation is clearly a conflict of interest, yet Democrats don’t seem to be concerned. This is exactly how the Dems reacted to Hillary Clinton’s blatant and treasonous mishandling of information while she, as Secretary of State, utilized a private server that was easy to hack.

This is just one more reason why we cannot let Joe Biden win in November.
