Jill Stein: A Vote for Hillary is a Vote for Nuclear War
Green Party candidate Jill Stein’s most recent attack on Hillary Clinton almost seems like she is urging voters to choose Donald Trump – almost.
“Under Hillary Clinton, we could very quickly slide into nuclear war with her declared policy in Syria,” she tweeted on Friday. “A vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for war.”
As we wrote last week, Stein isn’t the first to predict that a Clinton presidency could lead to war with Russia. “Americans voting for a president on Nov. 8th must realize that they are voting for peace on Planet Earth if they vote for Trump. But if they vote for Hillary it’s war,” said Russian politician and Putin ally Vladimir Zhirinovsky.
Stein predicts that Hillary’s plans to create a no fly zone over Syria will “start an air war with Russia” and argues that her polices “are much scarier than Donald Trump, who does not want to go to war with Russia.”
“I sure won’t sleep well at night if Donald Trump is elected, but I sure won’t sleep well at night if Hillary Clinton is elected,” Stein told CSPAN. “We have another choice other than these two candidates who are both promoting lethal policies.”
Jill Stein was infuriated when Sanders chose to endorse Clinton instead of her, and argues that she is the one pushing his progressive agenda. “Hillary has an easier time gaining support from right-wing Republicans…than progressives,” she said, accusing Debbie Wasserman Schultz of sabotaging Bernie Sanders’ campaign.
Stein went on to criticize what she views as Washington’s “uniparty,” arguigng that neither Republicans nor Democrats support the goals of progressives.
“When the establishment tells all but one candidate to drop out they’re saying they’re ok with a one party state. Like China. Or North Korea,” says Stein. “Despite a near-blackout by corporate media [of her campaign], we are reaching millions of Americans who are ready to build a new major party.”
