Jeb Bush: Show respect for illegal aliens

<div>In an interview for &&num;8220&semi;The Kelly File&&num;8221&semi; Jeb Bush said the United States needs an immigration policy that shows respect for some illegal immigrants currently in the country<&sol;div>&NewLine;<div><&sol;div>&NewLine;<div>&&num;8220&semi;There&&num;8217&semi;s got to be a point where we fix this system so that legal immigration is easier than illegal immigration&comma; and show some respect for people&comma; a kid that might have been here 10 years&comma; that might have been valedictorian of their high school&comma; to say &&num;8216&semi;No&comma; no&comma; no&comma; you&&num;8217&semi;re not allowed to go to college&quest;'&&num;8221&semi; Bush said&period; &&num;8220&semi;I just think there&&num;8217&semi;s a point past which we&&num;8217&semi;re over the line&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<div>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<div><&sol;div>&NewLine;<div><b>Author&&num;8217&semi;s comments&colon;<&sol;b><&sol;div>&NewLine;<div><&sol;div>&NewLine;<div>While conservative hardliners frequently call for &&num;8220&semi;rounding up&&num;8221&semi; and throwing out illegal aliens&comma; mainstream conservative thought is moving away from this&comma; because it simply can&&num;8217&semi;t be done&period; &nbsp&semi;I&&num;8217&semi;ve seen what happens when governments try to forcibly move large numbers of people&period; To be even marginally effective&comma; its an ugly&comma; brutal process&period; With an estimated 11&period;5 million illegals in the country &lpar;some say 20 million&rpar; and the people who would support them&comma; it would be tantamount to civil war&period; &nbsp&semi;Such an effort would not even get off the ground before the American people would find the bloodshed and cruelty intolerable&period;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<div><&sol;div>&NewLine;<div>The author believes the first step must be the reinforcement of the borders&comma; stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the United States&period; &nbsp&semi;The fact of the matter is we are a nation of immigrants&comma; and we have always wanted new immigrants&comma; and always will&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<div><&sol;div>&NewLine;<div>What we don&&num;8217&semi;t need is a slave culture&comma; people who can be blackmailed and abused without recourse because if they report something they might be deported&period; &nbsp&semi;I&&num;8217&semi;ve seen this&comma; it&&num;8217&semi;s not what America is about&period; &nbsp&semi;The increase in income may be good for the illegal&comma; but its bad for American society&period;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<div><&sol;div>&NewLine;<div>No doubt that immigration laws need to be reformed &lpar;after the borders are sealed&comma; not before&comma; in this author&&num;8217&semi;s opinion&rpar;&comma; but personally I want people coming invited through the front rather than sneaking in the back door and sqatting&period;<&sol;div>&NewLine;
