Is the Secretary of State Anthony Blinken using a hypothetical foreign influence risk as an excuse to employ Artificial Intelligence (AI) for throttling free speech in America ahead of the 2024 presidential election?

Earlier this year, Biden’s Secretary of State Anthony Blinken claimed that China was set to launch cyber-attacks to influence and interfere in the 2024 American presidential election. In an interview with CNN in April, after he visited China, Blinken stated that he had seen evidence of such cyber activity, though he did not present any such evidence to support his claim.

Blinken’s statement was questioned by conservatives given that the left created a fake narrative of Russian interference in the 2016 election as they could see Donald Trump beating Hillary Clinton at the ballot. The left instantly created false stories of the Trump campaign colluding with Russia, the so called Russia-collusion story, which was later thoroughly debunked.

And now Anthony Blinken seems to have let the political cat out of his China-interference bag by revealing plans for using AI to become the “rule-makers around the world”. Independent journalist Leo Hohmann offered critical commentary on Blinken’s statements at an event from late June at the State Department. Hohmann underscored part of Blinken’s statement that revealed the intent of the federal government for using AI for “media monitoring” and “to combat disinformation, one of the poisons of the international system today.”

On Wednesday (July 3), The Activist Post cited from Hohmann’s article and wrote that Blinken’s statement is admission of the State Department’s plans for a massive government-wide AI rollout with Big Tech and other private-sector partners onboard to create “a one-world totalitarian system” for specific goals:

These goals include the gai-worshipping climate agenda, along with new restrictions on free speech, the freedom of movement, wealth transfers from rich to poor countries, and the digitization of humanity.

Hohmann issued an alert to his readers that this admission by Blinken would not be highlighted by corporate media because they are in step with the government’s agenda:

Don’t ever say they didn’t warn us. They are no longer hiding their agenda, but you have to search for it.

Recently, Blinken was called out on social media for an interview in which he lamented the contemporary social media for serving as a platform where anybody can share thoughts instead of listening to “the narrative.”

In May 2023, Blinken made news for stating that the U.S. government had designed an AI system to detect Russian disinformation and share it with America’s political partners around the world. Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova had previously slammed the U.S. government for its “unprecedented information campaign” against Russia.

Is Anthony Blinken Admitting to Using AI to Censor Free Speech?
