Insurrection in the FBI Against Trump?

As Mueller’s investigation into the Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election continues to appear more corrupted, a series of unsavory text messages about Donald Trump prior to his election between FBI agents have been discovered.

This comes after Mueller was forced to fire Peter Strzok, a top FBI executive, from his investigation team after he exchanged anti-Trump messages with FBI lawyer Lisa Page.

Earlier this week, CNN obtained some of these messages where the top FBI officials expressed their concern that Trump would get elected.

“I cannot believe Donald Trump is likely to be an actual, serious candidate for president,” texted Page to Strzok on March 16, 2016.

“God(,) Trump is a loathsome human,” wrote Page.

“Yet he may win,” said Strzok in response.

In the message, it was discovered that FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe also was included in anti-Trump discussions.

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office – that there’s no way he gets elected – but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” wrote Strzok on August 15 to Page. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40….”

“In a letter to House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte of Virginia included with the released texts and obtained by CNN on Tuesday, the Justice Department says the DOJ’s inspector general “informed the Special Counsel of the existence of the enclosed text messages on or about July 27, 2017. Mr. Mueller immediately concluded that Mr. Strzok could no longer participate in the investigation, and he was removed from the team,” writes CNN.

Strzok was also on the team that investigated Hillary Clinton’s private server.

Goodlatte expressed his concern for the bias stance of the FBI officials on Fox & Friends.

“This [text] is the one that concerns me the most,” said Goodlatte. “Andy is presumably Andrew McCabe … and this text is very troubling because it suggests that they’re doing something, they have a plan to take action to make sure that Donald Trump does not get elected president of the United States at the highest levels of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”

The Justice Department is reviewing 10,000 messages between Strzok and Page.

Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa expressed similar sentiments.

“Some of these texts appear to go beyond merely expressing a private political opinion, and appear to cross the line into taking some official action to create an ‘insurance policy’ against a Trump presidency,” wrote Grassley on Thursday. “Presumably, ‘Andy’ refers to Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe. So whatever was being discussed extended beyond just Page and Strzok at least to Mr. McCabe, who was involved in supervising both investigations.”

It was also discovered that Andrew Weissmann, a prosecutor on Mueller’s team, emailed Sally Yates and said he was “so proud” after she was fired from her role as the acting attorney general for not defending one of Trump’s executive orders.

Considering these bias individuals were involved in Mueller’s investigation, lawmakers have a lot questions for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who appointed Mueller.

“It’s our responsibility to make sure those opinions do not influence their actions,” said Rosenstein. “I believe Director Mueller understands that, and recognizes people have political views but that they don’t let it [affect their work].”

It’s safe to say, the FBI is under a lot of scrutiny.

“On Wednesday, a half-dozen Republicans from the House of Representatives held a press conference calling for answers about Comey and Clinton. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Senator Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, wrote to Wray and the Justice Department inspector general asking for information about Strzok. Grassley has also written this month to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, claiming that FBI Deputy Director McCabe appeared to have violated the Hatch Act, which forbids certain government employees from participating in some political activities,” writes Newsmax.

Author’s note: Based on these texts it appears that FBI officials had some kind of plan against Trump should he happen to win. Now they are trying to disparage Trump by any means necessary.

Editor’s note: Partisan behavior in government organizations is more rampant than I’ve ever seen. In this case, it almost appears that FBI leadership had plans to thwart Trump somehow. This certainly bears investigation.
