Illegal Aliens Faking Victimhood of Crimes to Get US Citizenship

&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Rampant immigration fraud goes hand in hand with the open border policies of the Biden administration&period; Some illegal aliens in the country are pretending to be victims of crimes in order to be eligible for asylum and eventually citizenship&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">On Friday&comma; May 17&comma; the Department of Justice &lpar;DOJ&rpar; issued a press release to announce the unsealing of an indictment in a federal court in Chicago&period; Per the indictment&comma; six people were charged with conspiracy to commit visa fraud by staging crimes&comma; specifically armed robberies&comma; in different states where four of the indicted individuals would play victims of the robberies&period; The &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;victims” would thus be eligible for a special visa&comma; called the U visa&comma; issued to victims of serious crimes and allowing them to stay in the country&comma; apply for permanent residency&comma; and eventually for citizenship&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">According to details&comma; Parth Nayi of IL and Kewon Young of OH were paid by four men –Bhikhabhai Patel&comma; Nilesh Patel&comma; Ravinaben Patel&comma; and Rajnikumar Patel – to orchestrate and carry out the robberies that would enable them to play victims&period; The release wrote&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph"><em>During the staged robberies&comma; individuals acting as robbers brandished what appeared to be firearms&comma; approached the purported victims&comma; and demanded money and property&comma; the indictment states&period;<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">The robberies were carried out at restaurants&comma; coffee shops&comma; liquor stores&comma; and gas stations in IL&comma; LA&comma; and TN&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">In its press release&comma; the DOJ did not disclose the nationality of the indicted illegal aliens or use the term &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;illegal aliens”&comma; nor made any mention of the suspects’ immigration history&period; But the news site <em>India West<&sol;em>&comma; which posts news about issues related to the Indian diaspora in the west&comma; reported on May 20 that four of these individuals are Indian citizens&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph"><em>The Western Journal<&sol;em> reported that officials believe that hundreds of people were involved in the scam&period; The paper called it a &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;new low&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">In December 2023&comma; two men of South Asian&sol;Indian origin were arrested in Massachusetts in a similar case of immigration fraud via staged robberies&period; Reporting on the scheme of orchestrated crimes&comma; the <em>New York Post<&sol;em> wrote&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph"><em>The scheme&comma; which began in March 2023&comma; had the store clerks wait five or more minutes until the robber made their escape before calling the police to report the crime&comma; prosecutors said&period;<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Seeking asylum out of fear for one’s life or safety has been one of the many fraudulent ways of illegal aliens and even those entering the country legally but planning to stay permanently have adopted as a pathway to citizenship&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">But faking crime and playing victims for other motives have also been reported&comma; the most infamous case in the recent history being of the leftist gay actor Jussie Smollett&comma; who was convicted in 2022 of a hate crime hoax in which he played the victim in 2019&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
