ICE Sweep of NYC’s Canal Street Nabs 9 Illegals With Violent Pasts

&NewLine;<p>Despite the Democrat lead government shut down&comma; ICE continues in its mission to combat dangerous illegals&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>In a targeted sweep of New York’s Canal Street&comma; ICE reports that it has arrested nine illegal aliens with long rap sheets that include robbery&comma; domestic violence&comma; assaulting law enforcement&comma; counterfeiting&comma; drug trafficking&comma; and forgery&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>According to a DHS press release&comma; on Wednesday&comma; Oct&period; 22&comma; U&period;S&period; Immigration and Customs Enforcement &lpar;ICE&rpar; conducted a targeted&comma; intelligence-driven enforcement operation on Canal Street in New York City&comma; focused on criminal activity relating to selling counterfeit goods&period; Despite violent rioters who assaulted and obstructed law enforcement by blocking vehicles&comma; nine criminal illegal aliens were arrested&period; Some of their rap sheets included robbery&comma; domestic violence and assault&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Additionally&comma; four violent rioters were arrested for assaulting law and enforcement&comma; and another rioter was arrested for obstruction&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;ICE conducted a targeted&comma; intelligence-driven enforcement operation on Canal Street in New York City&comma; focused on criminal activity relating to selling counterfeit goods yesterday&period; ICE arrested nine illegal aliens with criminal histories including robbery&comma; burglary domestic violence&comma; assaulting law enforcement&comma; counterfeiting&comma; drug trafficking&comma; drug possession&comma; and forgery&comma;” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin&period; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The majority of those arrested were released into the country by the Biden administration&period; Under President Trump and Secretary Noem&comma; criminal illegal aliens are not welcome in the U&period;S&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The raid came just hours after conservative&nbsp&semi;social media influencer Savanah Hernandez&nbsp&semi;posted from the unkempt block&comma; calling the scene &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;the craziest thing I’ve ever seen&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The strip of Chinatown has long been an eye-sore and haven for crime littered with illegal vendors&comma; who pack the sidewalks with fake and stolen merchandise&comma; blocking access to legitimate retailers and leaving trash strewn long the street&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;They take over the sidewalk&comma;” one merchant said Wednesday&period; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;People can’t pass&period; The vendors don’t care&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;We talk to them&period; They want to fight&comma;” he added&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;It’s usually the new ones&period; I spoke to one of them&period; He said&comma; &OpenCurlyQuote;What’s your problem&quest;’ I don’t fight them&period; I just leave&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>NYPD quality-of-life cops have repeatedly raided the vendors&comma; only to have them flee and return later&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Despite the brazen peddlers who were cuffed and arrested for being in the country illegally and boasting disturbing rap sheets&comma; the federal raid sparked heated protests in deep blue NYC&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Two violently hysterical protesters were charged by New York’s Finest&comma; including Jennifer Hansen&comma; a 34-year-old anarchist with six prior busts&comma; including a June 7 arrest for allegedly kicking a cop&period; Police said Hansen was charged with disorderly conduct&comma; obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct for allegedly blocking traffic and interfering with cops&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>A 33-year-old demonstrator was also cited for disorderly conduct but was not identified&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Those arrested in the raid included five Senegalese migrants&comma; including Muhammad Ndiaye&comma; who entered the US on a tourist visa but was supposed to leave in 1995&period; Fellow Senegalese illegals were arrested&comma; including Idy Sarr&comma; who was the subject of a 2010 deportation order&semi; Sergigne Diop&comma; who was caught at the US border last year but released by the Biden administration&semi; and Modou Mboup&comma; who was part of a caravan that entered the US but was also released by the previous administration&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
