
<p>Ending the infestation of the country with illegal aliens continues under the Trump administration with mass arrests reported from Houston, Texas. Among those arrested recently by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are child rapists, murderers, and a man who hijacked an airplane.</p>



<p>As reported in <em>The Daily Wire</em> (July 14), ICE arrested more than 1300 illegal aliens in the Houston area in Texas last month. These included many convicted criminals – murderers, sex offenders, and others. One notable case is that of an illegal alien from Cuba, 56-year-old Adermis Wilson-Gonzalez, who was convicted of hijacking a plane in 2003. He served 20 years in prison and was released into the Houston area.</p>



<p>Also among the arrested illegal aliens are 9 murderers, mostly Mexican nationals, including a 29-year-old man who was previously deported from the country six times. Several child rapists and molesters were also arrested during the raids, along with 16 gang members operating across the Texas-Mexico border.</p>



<p>The story reported that 100 illegal aliens of those arrested by ICE in the June raids inthe Houston area were living at Colony Ridge, a land development right outside Houston. These included child predators and a member of a foreign terrorist organization.</p>



<p>Texas has traditionally been a red state, but Democrats have been strategically seizing sizable parts of it through mass immigration, following a similar pattern across other major US states like CA and NY. Once the liberals flip a city or county blue within a red state, they start facilitating the accumulation of illegals by turning it into a sanctuary city and making it difficult for federal authorities to capture and deport the illegal aliens.</p>



<p>According to 2019 research data by the Pew Research Center, 20 big cities across the U.S. are home to six out of every ten illegal aliens in the country. All of these are liberal-majority metro areas, including the three in Texas – Houston, Austin, and Dallas-Fort Worth.</p>



<p>To stop the infestation of the state with illegal aliens, the Republican government of Texas has taken various measures over the years. In recent days, Governor Abbott signed new legislation that makes it mandatory for most local police departments in the state to help with enforcing federal immigration laws. NBC affiliate News4SA reported (July 19) that so far, only about a third of Texas counties have signed on to this agreement with the state. Under the Trump administration, the construction of the US-Mexico border wall has also been resumed. <em>The Dallas Express</em> (July 18) cited a public announcement from Michael W. Banks, Trump’s Chief of the United States Border Patrol, stating that construction of the planned 7 miles of border wall has been resumed in El Paso.</p>

<p>It is worth adding that the ICE raids in Texas have met with few to no riots by liberal activists, as against the deep blue Los Angeles in California, where the left’s street activists created a situation resembling a battlefield with ICE agents under big attacks by the pro-migrant mobs. Apparently, liberals are conscious of potential legal consequences in red states.</p>
