<p class="p1"><span class="s1">District attorneys throughout the country are making waves with liberal policies that threaten to make communities less safe. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Big surprise, the loudest voices are coming from individuals whose campaigns were backed by liberal billionaire George Soros. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">As noted by <i>Fox News</i>, this is proof that “under-the-radar political investments made by progressive groups in recent years are paying off.” Indeed, Soros has spent more than $17 million on DA and other local races in support of candidates who share his political and social views. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">“A staple of these candidates is the promise not to enforce laws with which they disagree,” notes Michele Hanisee, President of the Association of LA Deputy District Attorneys. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">A chief example is Kim Foxx, who won her 2016 campaign for State’s Attorney in Cook County, IL after receiving $2 million from Soros. She is up for reelection this year and has already won the Democratic primary. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Foxx drew national criticism last March when she dismissed the case against Jussie Smollett &#8211; the gay actor who staged a hate crime against himself. More recently, her office has promised to dismiss cases related to protests and curfew violations. </span><span class="s1">“The question it comes down to is &#8211; is it a good use of our time and resources?” Foxx said. “No, it’s not.”</span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">Not surprisingly, the number of dropped or lost cases has jumped nearly 40% since Foxx took office. </span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Another Soros beneficiary &#8211; St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner &#8211; made headlines in June after she released 36 individuals accused of rioting and looting. </span><span class="s1">When criticized for her decision by Missouri AG Eric Schmitt, she said the police did not provide “admissible evidence” for the charges and that she “got work to do.”</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Earlier this month, Gardner brought felony charges against a couple for brandishing firearms at protestors outside their home. The incident occurred after </span><span class="s1">protestors broke down an iron gate and ignored “private street” and “no trespassing” signs. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">Gardner described the couples’ action as a “violent assault” against individuals who were exercising their <i>First Amendment</i> rights. </span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">In Florida, Soros-backed Orlando State Attorney candidate Monique Worrell is running on a platform that promises to end cash bail &#8211; a policy proven to result in more criminals being released before trial. In Worrell’s opinion, incarceration should be a “last resort.” </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">In California, Soros-backed San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin openly supports the “defund the police” movement and has questioned whether there is a “safer” way to spend taxpayer dollars than to invest in local police. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Working in tandem with Soros is the Real Justice PAC, founded by civil rights activist Shaun King. A current beneficiary of Real Justice is Texas attorney Delia Garza, who has promised not to prosecute “crimes that are an extension of someone being in poverty,” including “low-level drug offenses.”</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Garza will run unopposed this year after winning the Democratic primary in Travis County, TX. </span></p>

<p>Clearly, George <span class="s1">Soros has succeeded in corrupting the criminal justice system by funding soft-on-crime district attorneys who are leaping at the chance to implement “police reform” amid the unrest caused by the death of George Floyd. We can expect a massive push to decrease prison populations and an effort to limit sentencing for drug-related crimes followed by a nationwide increase in violent crime. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">George Soros’s behavior is an unprecedented violation of the legislative process that threatens to weaken the vetting process for candidates. Never before have we seen one individual shove so much money into local elections.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">As one reporter said, “This isn’t about either of [the candidates] personally. This is about a man who has no connection to my corner of the world attempting to impose his agenda on a crucial local race without any real understanding of how that will impact the people who have to live with the fallout.”</span></p>
