While some of what you say is true, much is not. We did not send “pillows and blankets” to Ukraine as the LIar-in-chief likes to say. We could have, should have done more under Obama. I am glad that Trump initially sent military assistance to Ukraine, however using that as leverage to get an investigation of his political rivals is just plain wrong. Move on to Syria, I really don’t think that is a winnable war, mainly due to the fact that regime change involves us with Russia. Case in point-when Trump bombed the military base, he informed Russia prior to doing that (who of course informed Syria). Not my idea of a strong retaliation. And then we move on to the latest fiasco in Syria, where Erdogan told Trump that he was going to attack the Kurds, and to get our troops out of the way. Trump very submissively did just that, much to the chagrin of the Kurds and our military. Of course there are the other foreign relations where Trump has continually given the finger to our traditional allies, and warmly embraced those countries with a strongman (dictator) as leader. Yes, our foreign stature in the world has changed recently, but not due to the actions (or inactions) of Obama, but due to the fact that we are no longer trusted as a reliable ally. Time for the Trump defenders to wake up, we are on a downhill slide with his regime in power…..

Obama did not give weapons to Ukraine because the State Department and Pentagon did not clear them for weapons. They did, however, push Ukraine to clean up its corruption problem, as opposed to Trump who used corruption to hold up the aid that Congress appropriated. Trumpers who say “Obama did nothing for Ukraine” ignore the groundwork that was done, something which the Trump administration is incapable of doing.
