I worked for the FAA for nearly 17 years before they turned on me for only God’s known reasons. OK, I filled out a piece of paper wrong but with good intentions while under distress on a Friday and by Monday realized what I did and tried to correct it, was told not to, contacted a friend outside the Southern Region who told me to send an amendment the very next day, which I did and was able to back up my claims showing I was due more than I originally requested. Did this matter, no, I was in the sights of the Regional manager, who happen to also be a BG in the ARG, and I was toast. I got a lawyer who use to work for the FAA who said he could fix the problem for a payment of $3000, plus he wanted $10K in an impress fund to be used in a settlement if necessary. This was all over a PCS travel vouncher for $13K. When all was said and done, I was going to get fired, and told my lawyer if I had known that he could not get the job done, I would have resigned. He made arrangements that I could if done by end of business that day. I did, then the SO Regional Office send the first SF50, Resigned pending adverse action for submital of a Fraudulant Travel Voucher. I said I would not accept it, the send a new one that just said resigned, that was fine, then they sent another one that said “resigned pending adverse action”. The lawyer kept my other $10K illegally, my blood pressure was out of control, and I lost my career and $26,000.00 over a mistake I even tried to correct. Does Deep State give two hoots and holler about it, hell no. They are into protectionist mode and take care of their own. If you are not one of them, you are the enemy and they will use any excuse in the book to get rid of you. For 18 years I was a good employee, did what I was told, received cudos everywhere, and one awshit wiped it all out including me. Now they will not even answer simple letters I send to them. Corruption, you bet your sweet arce there is corruption and it gets bigger at every step along the way. The FAA Southern Region is riddled with it.
